"Vendor could provide foundation service, but not one of the other services we requested (simply not a service this vendor performs); we therefore chose a different path. Vendor provided a detailed and valuable foundation report that was essential towards our efforts, so we are very grateful for that. We will seriously consider this vendor for future work."

"He was very responsive, however, the problem came back after he left. I fortunately received a credit for the time we used him but it was frustrating that the same problem came back. He blamed me for his equipment breaking. He said his snake was not powerful enough and our drain broke his snake. My husband did not want to use his drill attached snake, that is why we called a professional. He was unprofessional in going on and on about his ex wife. When he came back the second time was only because he was the one that started it. His unprofessionalism made it a very uncomfortable experience."

"The paint crew headed up by Juan did an outstanding job. The crew was very meticulous in every step of the process.  The final result is a very well detailed finish that transformed the look of our house from an ordinary red brick/gray wood siding look into what most  describe as an exciting Cape Cod look.  We live on a large reservoir in Hamilton  County.
The crew consistently checked with us daily for our input on particular details and on their progress. They were very courteous and respected our needs and desired look.  The management of this company stopped by every few days to be sure we were satisfied with the progress and look. They openly worked with us on a few adjustments we realized as the project moved along.
This company is very professional, responsive, and has the ability to customize the painting job to meet your expectations.

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to install a sewage ejector pump outside rather than in a basement. However, there may be some extra steps involved, including running pipes from the inside to the outside of your home and digging (and re-filling) a hole for the basin. If you aren’t comfortable with this type of work, contact a plumbing pro to handle it for you.

The difference between an ejector pump and a sump pump lies in their purpose and design—an ejector pump functions to remove liquid gray water and soft solid sewage waste from your home. If you have a laundry room or bathroom in your basement, an ejector pump for your sewage tank prevents sewage from backing up in your washing machine or bathroom’s drains.

A sump pump is designed to remove excess groundwater that may enter your home, either due to flooding or periods of heavy rain.

There are a few possible sump pump drainage locations, including a neighborhood storm drain, into a creek or pond, or underground. Don’t let your sump pump water go into your sewer or septic system. Ideally, your drainage spot should be on a downhill slope that’s at least 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. Before choosing a location, check your local codes and regulations.

The best basement waterproofing method depends on the specific issue causing the water intrusion. For minor problems, simple solutions like installing a properly functioning gutter system to direct runoff away and grading the soil to slope away from your foundation can be effective.

If you have more significant water problems, the solution will need to be more robust:

  • For standing water on the basement floor, a floor drain or a sump pump system may be the best solution.

  • For water pooling around the foundation, installing an exterior French drain can intercept water before it reaches the basement walls.

Other effective waterproofing methods, which can be used depending on your home's specific needs, climate, and soil type, include sealing the interior walls, landscape alteration, installing interior drainage systems, and using a dehumidification system to control moisture levels.

Yes, you can install a sump pump yourself. By following the steps above, you can have a sump pump installed in 24 hours. You will have to use some advanced tools and techniques, so if you feel uneasy about taking it on yourself, it’s best to hire a professional.
