"It started with opening the wall between kitchen and living room. Did a great job. evolved into a kitchen pantry, kitchen island, counter tops, sink, flooring, ran new plumbing, electrical work in various areas. Plus more. Next up is deck expansion and possibly an RV pad. No need to call anyone else. Does most work on his own so quality is controlled. Very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. I couldn't recommend Re Squared and Landon Reed more highly."

Awnings questions, answered by experts

Retractable awnings offer numerous advantages for homeowners, including protecting your outdoor furniture against the elements. It can also help keep your deck in better shape since it adds a layer of protection against sun and precipitation.

Clean regularly with mild soap and water, and retract during severe weather to prevent damage.

The main disadvantage of an awning window is that you can’t use it to escape in an emergency. Another disadvantage of awning windows is that they can get dirty quicker than other types of windows that don’t open outward, especially if you keep them open when it’s raining or snowing. You can hire a local window replacement installer to decide if an awning window is right for your home.

Metal awnings last much longer than fabric thanks to their durability and resistance to fading, sun damage, and damage from the outside elements. They also need less maintenance than fabric options. Both items add curb appeal to your home, but you shouldn't expect either type of awning to add property value to your home.

You can indeed open your awning in winter. It’s a misconception that you can only open retractable awnings in the warmer months. In fact, modern awnings are strong enough to offer a little respite from the snow if you’re someone who enjoys sipping hot cocoa outside on a beautiful winter day. But if a big storm is coming, such as a hurricane or a blizzard, it’s best to close your awning until the weather calms down.
