"Jeremy showed up right on time. He cleaned the carpet so quietly and efficiently even our normally high strung dog didn't notice him much. He was up front about the things that could and couldn't be fixed and knowledgeable about cleaning carpet. We even had Pad Injection done at the site of a couple of really bad pet soiling areas. The whole house smells nice and clean now, and the carpets look great. There were a few spots that couldn't be gotten totally clean due to abuse on our part (really we should vacuum more often) but it looks fantastic. He took extra time at the end with his UV light to look for any remaining pet stains."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes. Taking care of carpet tiles is very similar to taking care of a broadloom carpet floor. Once the glue holding them down is cured, you can vacuum carpet tiles just like other carpeted areas. They’ll stand up to plenty of foot traffic, furniture placement, and other wear and tear.

Yes, you can use a hose to clean an area rug. Before you do, it’s a good idea to vacuum out dust and dirt and use a rug brush to remove pet hair and other debris. Just be careful not to be too aggressive, or you’ll damage the material. Bring your area rug outside and wet it evenly with your hose. You can even use a pressure washer on a light setting if you have a new, durable rug. Continue soaking until the water runs clean, and then hang your rug to dry.

The difficulty of cleaning a wool rug will depend on how dirty it is in the first place. For instance, if a wool rug has a build up of stains, this will add to the labor required to clean it. However, cleaning wool rugs should be pretty easy overall as wool naturally repels stains and is a generally durable material.

Some of the worst and hardest stains to remove from carpets include dark-colored spills like red wine, coffee, blood, and ink. These can permanently discolor the carpet, especially if they aren't treated immediately, and are particularly visible on light-colored carpets. Bleach is also one of the worst culprits, as it causes near-instant color loss that cannot be restored through cleaning. For most tough stains, if DIY methods don't work, a professional carpet cleaner may be able to help. However, for bleach stains, the best option is often to dye or replace the affected area.

You can clean your carpet with products you probably already have underneath your sink. You can use baking soda the same as a powdered carpet cleaner. Club soda can lift new stains, while white vinegar and dish soap can pull out old stains.
