When they brought the tube in through my home they scratched the drywall and paint throughout my halls. When I asked the man to show me how he had cleaned the dryer, he actually sucked up one of my dryer balls. After he finished cleaning the vent in my dryer, he did not replace the dryer vent and turned the dryer on so that the vent was flopping around inside of it. When they went into the basement, they continued to drag the hose all throughout my home with zero effort to make sure that it would not dirty my carpet. Neither gentleman had explained to me that they were going to cut a hole into my ventilation system - which would have been nice so I wasn't caught so off guard. Overall, I was not satisfied with the services and the way that the one man had treated my home. The poor work that the one gentlemen performed really dragged down the work of the other man that seemed to know what he was doing. Also, after they had performed services, within 24 hours we began having trouble with our furnace. They made more of a mess in my house than anything and I would not recommend this company - especially because when I called to complain about the service the person I spoke with seemed very disinterested in getting the issues fixed."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mn/blaine/andersons-mechanical-service-llc-reviews-78372.htm"},"position":3},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"PURE Home Design","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"HI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Perry M."},"reviewBody":"David started with a questionnaire that our son eventually filled out (so busy at work) - that survey detailed his likes and dislikes in all kinds of areas and his dreams for the basement. Our son is smart and told David that when it came to colors, fixtures, and other choices of style that David should use his decades of experience, and good taste, to narrow down the zillions of choices to just a few for his choice - worked out great and saved lots of hours of his time. David's company then provided detailed plans to the contractors for their bid and since David knew the various contractors we relied heavily on his opinion with this critical decision - and picked a contractor that worked well with David and did a fantastic job. David was over many times to confer with the contractor and sub-contractors - nothing escaped David's eye - nothing. David and our son went to various tile, stone, lighting, and carpet suppliers and picked out all the various styles and colors of the various items - all were the latest trends; there is no way we could have done that without David. That's why everyone has the eye-popping reaction to the basement - it looks like it came out of the pages of this month's award winning home design magazine. The finished project looks just fantastic and our son is already eyeing how the rest of the house will be remodeled to bring it into the 21st century and be integrated with his fantastic basement......."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/mo/ballwin/pure-home-design-reviews-197195.htm"},"position":4},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"All Aspects Waterproofing","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"HI","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"David D."},"reviewBody":"My basement flooded due to the recent weather (rain etc). Spoke with a few companies. All Aspects was the only company that responded quickly and worked closely to help me remedy my basement water issues. I was very happy with the work, timeliness of the work, and the care taken to make me feel like I was the only client (I was well aware that due to the recent hurricane, hundreds of calls were coming in). I never had another drop of water present in the basement again. I also got advice regarding the restoration of the basement even though it was beyond the scope of work that we contracted for. WE DID NOT GET OTHER ESTIMATES. THE PRICE SEEMED RATHER HIGH TO US. THE INTERIOR PAINT JOB LOOKS GOOD. SHELVES WERE LEFT AT A DANGEROUS TILT - LUCKILY NOTHING FELL OR BROKE. THE WATERPROOFING SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN A SUCCESS. OUR BASEMENT DRAIN WAS CLOGGED BUT BOB SAID HE CHECKED ALL AT THE END OF THE JOB. ANOTHER WORKMAN WAS IN THE HOUSE AND ALSO SAID IT WAS NOT HIS DOING. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION WHEN WE RETURNED, I FOUND PAINT SPATTERS ALL OVER THE BASEMENT: ON CLOTHES HANGING ON THE LINE, ON MY BRAND NEW WASHING MACHINE, ON THE DRYER, ON THE FLOOR, AND ON MANY OTHER SURFACES. MOST OF THESE COULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UP OR MOVED. WE WEREN'T THERE TO DO IT AND RELIED ON BOB'S PREVIOUS GREAT WORK AND CLEANUP. I WAS SURPRISED AT BOB'S RELUCTANCE WITH THE PLANTS ESPECIALLY WHEN I FOUND THAT ONE OF THE LISTED JOBS DONE BY HIS COMPANY IS LANDSCAPING. WE WERE SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINT."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/oh/cleveland/the-house-doctors-reviews-67786.htm"},"position":6}]}

FAQs for basement waterproofing projects in Kula, HI
Due to the nature of basements, some level of waterproofing is necessary to prevent water from seeping in and causing damage. Some definitive signs that your basement needs waterproofing measures or needs existing waterproofing measures need to be updated include:
Water in your basement, including damp walls or puddles on the floor
Mold spots in your basement
Musty smells or odors
Warped doors or walls
Cracks in walls
Insect issues, such as cockroaches and termites
You can DIY basement waterproofing in some ways to help save on the overall costs. If your basement isn’t experiencing a lot of water but is noticeably humid, you can try running a dehumidifier that will pull the excess water out of the air. If you notice water leaking due to outdoor drainage issues, you can add downspout extensions to keep rainwater away from your home.
However, if the problem is more severe and requires a more extensive solution, it’s best to call a basement waterproofing professional to assess the treatment you need and install waterproofing safeguards properly. Since keeping water out of your basement is important, ensuring this job is done correctly the first time is best.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Several factors dictate if you should waterproof the interior or exterior of your basement. Waterproofing the exterior of your home is a great option if you use your basement for storage, as it provides the most protection from water and water damage. If you prefer work done outside of your home versus inside, exterior waterproofing is best for you. However, interior waterproofing is often less expensive since the area is easier to reach and requires less labor.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
