Excellent in all phases from start to finish! The owner Terry Meenach who estimated the job, is an extremely knowledgeable contractor. The job was started and finished on the date promised by his top technician Rob who did an great job! He was very particular to do a neat and precise job! Terry came by the next morning to inspect and to do one finishing touch before receiving his final payment. I would highly recommend Garage Experts

I shopped for some time before settling on Garage Experts. Initially, I was looking for a solid grey epoxy finish instead of the flake finish, however, I also had some experience with 2 industrial epoxy floor projects I was involved with at my former employers factory using solid colors and recognized no matter how well, you care for the epoxy finish, it begins to show traffic wear patterns. Only one firm in Hilton Head would quote the solid finish - everyone else was doing the "flake" finish, so I decided to give that a try. After living with the flake finish for some time, I feel it is a better choice because it does hide dirt better and many people have commented on how good the floor looks. A did discover a minor down side after the fact though, i.e. if you drop a small part (e.g. screw, etc.) on a flake surface, it can be incredibly difficult to spot. It's been 14 months since the coating was applied and I am still very pleased with the appearance. The center bay of the garage gets the most use and as you can see from the pictures, the floor does not show tire marks. Dirt & debris will accumulate around the ridges in the flake, however, this can easily be removed with water and a light work with a scrub brush. I've probably done this 6 or 7 times since the floor was installed. Interestingly, using a scrub brush proved more effective than pressure cleaning. The original cement floor had a few hairline cracks and some spalling. These areas were all repaired and the entire floor prepped afterwards for the epoxy coating. If I recall correctly, we could walk on the floor the next day, but could not park cars on the floor for 3 days while the epoxy cured. One aspect regarding the application of the coating that I had not thought of was that the garage doors can not be closed on the epoxy coating until it is dry approximately a day later. It seemed the coating crew was not quite prepared for this as well because at the end of the job a light breeze came up, blowing quite a few leaves onto the wet surface. We hastily make a few improvised barricades and with their special footwear, they were able to get most of the leaves off of the surface. The workers were quite aggravated and I was also alarmed at the prospect of having some bits trapped in the coating, but as the manager explained later, most of the small pieces were on the surface and would wear off and not permanently damage the coating. And in fact there was no evidence of the leaves a few days later. Just the same, I would recommend working out a game plan with the work crew to avoid the possibility of contaminating the wet surface before things get started

  • Tripp Brothers Non-Slip Floor Treatments
Excellent experience. Tripp Brothers Non-Slip Floor Treatment was hugely a positive experience. Mr. Tripp gave exceptional service. It was like what we found years ago with old fashioned "Respect." Mr. Tripp was not only courteous, but explained in detail what he was doing. Even better, he delivered as he promised. After searching for pricing, I was super happy and I paid a really fair price. I was satisfied and would recommend him to anyone that needs their garage floors done. They are now non-slip and look amazing. Thank you Tripp brothers

  • Guardian Garage Floors
They were quick to call me back at first contact. Came out to my house at a time convenient for me. Brought samples and plenty of product knowledge. Very professional. I had a small window for the installation and they were able to schedule on my preferred day. They arrived on time and busted the work out quickly. Diamond grind the whole floor, coated and sealed and all I. An say is WOW! What a transformation. The product they use is 1000X's better than big box floor kit. Don't hesitate to call these guys

  • Tailored Living featuring Premier Garage
The local owner of Premier garage was quite responsive over the past two to three years, coming to my home in a timely fashion to evaluate my garage needs and give me a cost estimate, which turned out to be exactly what I was charged. The workman was friendly and generally competent, but late most of the days for work, which was completed in four and a half days rather than the three estimated. No big problem. On three of the four days, the carpenter called to say he would be delayed, which was appreciated. After installing two of the four cabinets, I mentioned to the carpenter that although I was very unmechanical and got a D in Shop, I would have begun installing the cabinets from the corner nearest the garage door,so that there would not be a problem of fit. He said not to worry. As I had feared, the last cabinet indeed would not go into the space remaining, which necessitated his moving the first two cabinets (at no cost to me), but a hole cut out in the second cabinet for the electrical outlet was now misaligned. He sealed that hole fairly well, but the new hole is somewhat ragged and not professional in quality. The painting I requested was done well and I gave the carpenter a gratuity for his competence here. Lastly, I was told by the carpenter as he was putting in the cabinets that seven of the twelve shelves had not been sent from Atlanta for some reason. They did arrive a week later, and the owner gave me an extra shelf for my troubles

Work was scheduled for Dec 10th and coordinated a month in advance, and confirmed numerous times. Date was crucial for installation and timed with when took possession of new home and prior to move in. Deposit paid and December 10th came and no one showed - no calls, no emails, nothing. I set out at trying to contact both estimator and owner via email and voicemails. Finally got in touch later that day and learned an illness in the owner's family caused the delay. Not sure if the owner was the one who was doing the actual project, but would be unable to do anything until he got back. Certainly an unanticipated issue and my disappointment is not that family illness prevented the work, but with the following: 1. no communication that day, or prior, about issue. Tried email and phone of both the estimator for the project as well as the owner with no avail until late that day when owner responded. 2. offered to reschedule when back in area. Did not hear from him so I had to contact him, and reached him 10 days later (and he was back in town). He offered to rearrange other jobs (I guess they got priority up to then) and do the next day/ Unfortunately, garage no longer empty and window of opportunity lost. 3. requested refund and told would have a number of WEEKS until he returned supplies. original payment made via credit card, so refunding should be easy unless cash flow is a real issue which is typically a big red flag for a business. Was disappointed that could not get floor done on the day contracted - garage was emptied, and waited that day with no communication. Only communication was initiated by me throughout process and no refund to day (one month later). Not the level of professionalism I would expect with a mature business and would be wary of handing funds over in advance
