"Our experience with Eco Landscaping design has been nothing less than exceptional. I would say that we were one of their tougher customers as we were out of state through the whole process of our pool installation. Trust me, we did our research for over a year and a half and we watched and waited and read and asked questions. Eco Landscaping design simply stood out from any of the other companies or contractors that we had contacted and interviewed. Paul listened to our needs and ideas and educated us on different products and on the complete construction. Even to helping us pick out our colors for the pool and around the pool. This was a major project, a total make over to our backyard. Paul and his crew at Eco Landscaping design did amazing, keeping us informed on how the process was going every day. We got pictures, videos, phone calls all throughout the day. Paul and his crew stayed on top to make sure that we knew exactly what was going on. We had some major things done because "

"We had issues with Pamlico after requesting in March that they replace sand in a pool filter. Pamlico has been so incredibly non-responsive we will never use them again. We asked for service at our pool the end of March had a promised date of 1-2 weeks. After two weeks we began calling, repeatedly. Five weeks after our request with so many calls we lost track and Pamlico's repeated broken promises of "he will be there tomorrow" , Pamlico finally came out. We made the horrible mistake of paying them immediately without verifying the pump was operational after the sand was replaced. We quickly learned that after Pamlico receives their money, you cannot get them to return a call or come back out. When we still had an issue with the pump, repeated calls and requests for the service man to return were again met with unfulfilled promises of "he will be there tomorrow". Frustrated we asked for management. After a discussion with Michelle (an alleged manager), she promised to call back. She did not. After the service man still did not come, and several days later, we again attempted to contact a manager. Chris was assigned to us (a salesman). He attempted to tell us what was wrong with the pump, without even returning to the pool. We gave up and went to their competition. Unfortunately, we have learned after they are paid, they are totally unresponsive. Go to anyone but Pamlico if need responsive pool service."

"Great! I contacted the central number for American Leak Detection, and because of the length of my line, they assigned the job to the West Central Georgia branch in Bowdon, GA. Johnny English and his crew proved to be outstanding! They found that the problem was not a leak but a defective meter, and this after I had already called the local water company and had them check the meter. The West Central Georgia folks proved to be honest, professional, reliable, highly knowledgeable, and very fair in their pricing. They saved me from undertaking some very expensive repairs that turned out to be unnecessary. I recommend them highly!"

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

It’s less expensive to leave your hot tub on all the time, though you’ll want to keep it at a reduced temperature. How much you use the hot tub is also a factor. You’ll want to keep it at a constant temperature between 80 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for weekly or daily use, then bump it up right before you get in. If you don’t plan to use your hot tub that often, you can turn it off as long as there’s no risk of freezing.

Most newer hot tubs are not expensive to maintain. Hot tub maintenance costs about $500 to $1,000 per year. You can DIY, but a pro can clean and treat your hot tub with chemicals and save you time. The biggest hot tub expenses are heating and repairs, but you can preserve your investment with regular maintenance.

Depending on the material and level of upkeep, hot tubs can last anywhere from five to 20 years. Having a professional service your hot tub once a year and addressing issues immediately will help prolong the life of your hot tub.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.

Yes, but only if it is a freshwater tub (not saltwater) and if you make sure the chlorine and bromine levels are below 1 ppm.
