I treat your pool like my own, inspecting every system and detail to make sure it?s clean, safe, and running exactly the way it should before I leave.

"I have been looking to get a riding lawn mower fixed and did some calling around before finding Reels Lawnmower Repair. We had two lawn mowers that we were hoping to get repaired so we brought over one after speaking with a very nice younger gentleman on the phone. He walked me through the process and I explained that the mower deck was getting caught and need repair. We had taken the deck off so we could view it better and I had asked the gentleman on the phone if they would like it put back on before bringing it over. He replied no, it'd be easier off. So we brought all the clips and screws for it so they had all the parts. Two weeks after we dropped it off, I called to get a status on it and another man picked up and gave me the run around that if I didn't have two weeks to wait for it, then I shouldn't have dropped it off. That was fine, it was still early compared to other places. I was just going off the time frame someone else said to me. He then mentioned he should get a chance to look at it in the next week. Alright, fine. After four weeks, I called again, and alas, was told that he had not looked at it because he spends 90% of his day on the phone and can never get to working on any lawn mowers. He then mentioned he'd get look at it the next week. Finally after 6 weeks, I called and he still mentioned that he hadn't looked it and kept mentioning that us bringing it in "pieces" made it harder for him after we had asked if they'd rather us put it back together. He once again mentioned spending more time on the phone than being able to work on the motors. I finally just said I didn't want to be rude, but that we would be coming to pick it up. At this point, the man was blatantly rude stating that I was more than welcome to pick it up and wait 9 weeks somewhere else, then hung up on me. I read the reviews before coming here, they say he does good work and has fair prices, and I don't have anything against that, I am sure he does fine work. However, the customer service of the business is disorganized and rude."

Our desire is to provide an uncompromising level of quality and service in all areas of our business. Our attention to detail and customer satisfaction have proven to be the foundation of CEL over the years. We view this business as really being about building relationships with our clients. We strive to make their experiences very personal by listening to exactly what they need and delivering the right combination of design and services to accomplish their goals. These services range from complex design/build projects such as striking outdoor kitchens and dramatic outdoor living areas complete with elaborate fireplaces and water features to all types of landscape and hardscape construction as well as general landscape planting, lighting and irrigation work. CEL has been featured on HGTV's Groundbreakers and captured best in Show at the Atlanta Garden and Patio Show.

"Tim and company exceeded my expectations. I had recently cut down a number of cypress trees in my backyard and once they were down there was only a muddy mess left. Tim are out and walked the space with me. I told him some thoughts about making a flowery space with a bird bath as the central piece. He suggested a butterfly garden leveraging natural boulders rather than timbers to level off the area. When his team finished the work, I could barely believe my eyes. What was once an unusable eyesore was now my favorite part of the property. His team was fast, polite and meticulous. Nothing looked hastily done or our of place. This is the 2nd time I had used CEL and I will certainly use them again for my next landscaping project!"

Specializing in Design/installation projects starting in 8-10k with a Landscape Architect leading the way, Outside Landscape Group is known for creative and well-crafted landscape projects from the simple courtyard garden to the elaborate resort backyard. We specialize in working with homeowners to provide a complete landscape design and installation service. The process begins with meeting and working with a Landscape Architect that will create a detailed landscape plan tailored to the client's needs and budget. Our services include master-planning followed by full service construction and implementation. Outside Landscape Group is unique in the landscape market in that most construction is managed and built “in-house” with staffed crew. In addition to landscape plantings, lighting and irrigation; complete masonry construction including patios, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, walls, walks and driveways are seamlessly crafted together thus providing for a smooth building process that is cost effective. We excel in designing and developing residential spaces from the simple foundation planting to complex pool area. Company president Rick Kaldrovics, former host of HGTV's 'Landscape Solutions,' started Outside Landscape Group in 2000. Rick believes that the key to Outside Landscape Group’s success is the ability to partner with clients and deliver a creative, professional and comprehensive service that is backed by a full service guarantee.

"If I was reviewing the work product alone I would increase my score to maybe 3-4 stars - the general design was beautiful and almost represented what we wanted. There were, however, some avoidable flaws that we now have to live with forever, in addition to repairs and issues with the owner so all together that deserves the lowest rating to serve as a warning. For context, this was a $300k Pool Project (overall) with over $200k of that going to OLG. OLG subs out the pool construction to a pool builder which is fine but he doesnt communicate or coordinate well with anyone which is where the problems come in. The pool contractor never reviewed the design that OLG came up with so we got stuck with a hot tub that was too big and a pool that was too small (both things we asked about before digging and were dismissed), no lighting under/inside the waterfall and a 6” slope on our patio which means our lounge chairs now lay at a reverse angle when flat which essentially means we can’t lay them flat - all disappointing details that we have to live with. Additionally, we suffered through repairing a major leak twice just a few weeks after we finally opened the pool. I might add that we had to point out that we thought we had a leak. The grotto/waterfall had not been waterproofed properly - collaboration with the pool contractor could have avoided this but the owner of OLG thinks he already knows everything so he’s not likely to collaborate. The first repair wasn’t sufficient and so a second effort was needed. After more than a yearlong process, we lost much of the first summer and had to cancel two events at our home due to the leaks and having to drain the pool. We also asked to have lights added under the grotto/waterfall and that has been a nightmare that never ends and they finally told us they were done and wouldn’t come back, even though the last installation of replacements (that we hope will last this time) we’re not installed properly. We were overly patient with their process to replace the bad lights and now that puts us outside their warranty period so we are on our own. I understand they are tired of coming back and want to move on but it’s not our fault that their initial workaround didn’t hold up (or that we had leaks, etc.) Were it not for the arrogant and condescending attitude of the owner, we would have easily gotten over honest mistakes but anyone looking to hire OLG should simply be aware that while the owner presents himself as being a very organized and professional businessman, which does show well initially compared to many contractors, there is an arrogant and condescending underside to his professionalism and I found that came out rather quickly. And once it did, he wrote us off. Thankfully the foreman at the time was a great person and very competent (he has since left the company) so we were always able to work well with the on-site team. The owner never talked to us again and never even visited the completed job site to walk through the final outcome with us. This spoke volumes to us in the end. He missed out on an extra $80k in landscaping as we had originally planned to implement his design for the front/side yards and our front gate area. I was not willing to give him any more business at the end of the pool job. Unfortunately you need to consider the owner and his personality as part of your overall consideration when choosing a landscape or pool company. I’m sure there are customers who have had a good experience and for the right (landscaping only) job you might get out without any problems, but based on our overall experience, I would NOT recommend OLG at all, and especially not if you are building a pool. Good luck!"

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

The safest pool fence depends on what you’re trying to protect against. If you’re concerned about children and pets, a fence with gaps between or under the material isn’t advisable, as they could get through it. Mesh fences tend to reach the height requirements needed for pool fence safety, although they are not the most durable. Solid fence types, such as wood, concrete, or stone have the best chance of protecting the surface area around a pool, so long as they are high enough to discourage anything, or anyone, from climbing over them.

By tailoring materials and colors to match architectural styles.

The regulations for pool fence heights vary by state, so be sure to research what the legal, minimum height is in your area before purchasing or installing a fence. Though every region is different, generally a pool fence must be at least 4 and ½ feet high. If you’re unsure whether you need a fence around your pool, and how high that fence should be, contact a local pool enclosure expert to help you successfully, and safely, move forward.

Sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs support greener construction options.

The best way to heat a swimming pool depends on your pool and location. Those living in sunny environments may find that a solar-powered heater works just fine, but you may need something more reliable, like a gas or electric heater if it’s often cloudy where you live. When in doubt, try a few lower-cost options first to see if they meet your needs before going all in on a more expensive heater.
