Hey everyone, my name is Hudson Lott. I recently started my own land clearing business and I’m working hard to build a name for myself and my company.\n\nI spent the last 6 years working for other land clearing businesses before deciding to take the leap and go out on my own. I’ve learned a lot over the years, and now I’m putting that experience into my own business.\n\nI take a lot of pride in my work and always strive to leave every property looking right and make sure the landowner is happy with the job. I believe in doing honest work, taking care of my customers, and treating every job like it matters.\n\nI’m just getting started, but I’m excited to see where this business goes. If you or someone you know needs land clearing or property cleanup, I’d appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.

"We had a hard time finding anyone who could level the ground for our pool, and wasn’t charging an arm and a leg to do it. (We had already done a lot of the work ourselves!) My husband went on home advisor and we were contacted by Johnson Land Management. He said he was in the area with his equipment, and could be over in just a few minutes to complete the job, if we were still interested. He quoted us almost $400 less than the previous quote we had gotten, and he leveled the ground for us and helped put the sand down also, which we were not expecting (but definitely appreciated!) He did the job quickly and was mindful of how he turned his skid steer around so as not to completely destroy our grass."

"KAT was timely and professional. I was kept updated at every step. Darrell "rough prepped" a 1.5 acre tract for me. I'm not ready to build yet, but wanted it leveled and planted in something to hold soil through the winter. Darrell was right on top of it. It was still too warm for Rye, so Darrell suggested Oats. The land looks awesome and we are ready for compaction and perc testing. Price was reasonable and the result was far better than I was hoping for. Will be calling back for future work."

"This was alright. The carpet was pretty bad so he couldn’t guarantee it could be cleaned by doing a normal cleaning so he had to get the brush out and do a scrub on it. The steam cleaner wouldn’t have cleaned it properly. He did a fine job on it and it the carpet cleaning. I wouldn’t use him again because he is far out of town."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

In Millen, cosmetic land surveys—such as for decorative fencing, landscaping, or installing a garden pond—focus on enhancing curb appeal and visual layout. Functional projects, like resolving a boundary dispute or preparing for a new barn, require detailed documentation and precise measurements. Functional surveys often address legal requirements, property access, and compliance with local zoning, making them more complex and impactful for property use.

Helpful?

For land surveying in Millen, gathering accurate deed records, previous surveys, and clear property descriptions is key. Pay special attention to topographical features like creek beds, utility easements, and flood zone designations. Knowing zoning classifications and local soil types—such as Millen’s sandy soils—helps determine the best surveying approach, ensures boundaries are precise, and supports long-term property planning.

Helpful?

The property’s current condition in Millen—such as thick vegetation, agricultural use, or proximity to creeks—directly influences surveying strategies. For example, older homes or sheds can obscure original markers, while paved driveways may hide survey points. Flat terrain is typical, but features like drainage ditches or railroad access require extra attention, helping surveyors select the right equipment and methods for accurate results.

Helpful?

Completing a land survey in Millen can boost your home’s value and resale appeal by clarifying boundaries, reducing buyer hesitation, and streamlining sales. Updated surveys may reveal potential for additions or subdivision, and can help with insurance if flood elevation certificates are needed. In Millen’s real estate market, accurate surveys give buyers and investors confidence, making your property more attractive.

Helpful?

Signs you may need a new survey in Millen include missing or shifted boundary markers, surveys older than 10-15 years, or mismatches between deed descriptions and physical boundaries. If you experience neighbor disputes, recent storm damage, or requests from lenders or insurers, it’s wise to update your survey. Keeping surveys current helps avoid legal issues and ensures your property boundaries remain clear.
