"Horrible company to deal with. I worked with customer service for 2 days to customize my garage so it will attach to my house, after waiting 2 months for it to be delivered and set up they showed up just to have to head guy refuse to put it up against my house like it was designed to do he would only put it 3 feet away which made it unlevel so he refused to set it up because of that.I called customer service to complain and after trying for 20 mins to get her to understand that the jurk was refusing to put it next to my house as it was designed to do she offered me a petty $250 offer to keep it and set it up myself . Rude people that have no clue what they are doing or they meaning of customer service. Don't even buy a dog house from these people"

Wrought Iron questions, answered by experts

One common approach to attaching lattice is using screws or nails. Align the lattice panel with the wood frame, then secure it by driving screws or nails through the lattice into the wood. Another option is using U-shaped or J-shaped clips or brackets designed for lattice attachment, which provide a neater look. For added stability and aesthetics, you can use molding or framing around the lattice edges, attaching it to the wood with screws or nails—lastly, construction adhesive works when combined with other fasteners for enhanced durability.

Yes, installing wrought iron fencing will usually require a building permit, as do all types of fencing. Building permits for wrought iron fencing typically cost between $150 and $500, and the price will vary based on where you live and how much your local building department charges. You may also need to pay for a property survey if you’re installing wrought iron fencing on your property line. This type of survey can cost around $500, but it prevents issues with building on neighboring properties, which can be much more expensive in the long run.

Most homeowners who install a wrought iron fence do so because it provides security. The material is sturdy and deters intruders from entering your property. They're also built to last and won't rust if you purchase a galvanized iron fence. So, you don't have to worry about replacing fencing every few years like you might with wood or other less expensive materials. Most homeowners also adore the look of wrought iron fencing, which adds a timeless look to just about any style home.

No, fence posts aren’t always set in concrete. If you don’t want to use concrete footings for your posts, expanding foam is a popular alternative. Expanding foam and concrete each have certain pros and cons. For instance, foam is easier to install and more sustainable, but concrete is sturdier and less expensive.

You can buy wrought iron fencing from a trusted fence installation company near you. You could also opt to buy it privately from a homeowner who is interested in recycling their own wrought iron materials. Manufacturers stopped mass production of wrought iron as steel became more affordable to produce, so you likely won't find it in any local big box stores.
