"Very well. I was skeptical at first but Mr Miller put me at ease by sending his information and was very transparent. He said he would be at the location at a specific time, and was. Mr. Miller did a great job staining and keeping me informed of his progress through sending pictures and calling me. We do things right the first time, Masonry is a very permanent job and bound to be there for decades to come, attention to detail is essential in our line of work, everything is custom and tailored to our customers specific needs. Here are a few examples of what we do. Hardscaping and outdoor patio items: Flagstone walkways, decorative stone load bearing retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, fireplaces, decorative flagstone flooring, columns, seating areas and grill areas, we also do decorative stone water features such as fish ponds, water falls and small creeks for drainage or just to add that peaceful look/feel to your yard. We also do some large masonry repairs such as: cracks in brick, block, or stone on your steps or retaining walls, usually caused by water damage and we can help deviate that as well. We fix deteriorating brick on chimneys and replace leaking caps metal or masonry. We also remodel indoor fireplaces if you don’t like the current look we can fix that up.

Stucco questions, answered by experts

No, stucco siding tends to be more expensive than vinyl siding. While the materials for stucco are less costly, the labor-intensive application process increases the total project budget. If you're comparing stucco versus vinyl siding based on cost alone, vinyl siding would be the winner there. In terms of longevity, on the other hand, stucco lasts for around 50 years, 10 to 30 years longer than vinyl siding, making it a better long-term investment.

One upside to stucco siding is that it can last for 50 to 80 years, and it’s reasonably low maintenance during that lifespan. However, you’ll need routine maintenance to keep it looking its best, as it will crack and chip as it ages. If you live in an area that sees heavier rainfall, sealing your stucco siding every five to 10 years may be necessary.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

Due to application and cure times between coats, stuccoing a house takes between 10 and 14 days. Professionals may be able to wrap up projects on smaller homes in 7 to 10 days, while stuccoing large, multi-level homes can take more than two weeks. For the standard three-coat stucco system, six days are dedicated solely to stucco drying timelines, which are necessary after each coat.
