"I had previously hired Mar Painting to paint the entire exterior of my house. A very large job, and I was very pleased with it. So I hired them again to paint a porch made of brick with six columns also made of brick, as well as paint the concrete deck. I can tell you the magnificent job they did the first time around on my house was not a fluke. Bert and his people came out and very professionally did their work, cleaned up and departed. Everything they did is just wonderful to look at. I cannot more strongly recommend them to anyone who needs a paint job. Large or small."

"Tigran and team did a super job on painting our home. They painted our living room with vaulted ceiling and over our stairs and high pets of kitchen. We had large cracks and they plastered and repaired and painted and made everything new and really took extra detailed time. Another painter bidding the job said they would do it in a day. But I knew plastering is better if done with time and attention to detail and that is exactly what Tigran gave it. We are really happy with their work. It was a difficult job because of our high ceilings and they did excellent work."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces if you apply them correctly. Use on non-suitable surfaces can cause issues. For instance, applying limewash or whitewash to surfaces with existing sealants or incompatible materials may lead to poor adhesion or flaking. Also, harsh cleaning agents on limewashed or whitewashed surfaces can damage the finish. Proper preparation, application, and maintenance ensure that limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces.

To make sure the paint won’t bubble as you apply it, make sure to paint on a day that’s cooler than 85 degrees Fahrenheit. When the temperature is too high, the paint won’t dry evenly, which can result in bubbles forming on the surface. Another way to prevent paint from bubbling is to clean the walls, apply primer, and let everything dry completely before you begin.

Here's the deal with leaving used rags covered in oil-based stain lying around in a pile: Depending on the conditions, these rags can take just an hour or up to a few days to combust. The source of ignition is caused by trapped heat that can be compounded if the rags are near a heat source.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Always wait until the morning dew has dried before you stain your deck. The stain needs a fully dry surface to sink into.
