"I am a retired facilities services Buyer and have hire many contractors over the course of 30 years. Ms. Bailey was the first of the three contractors to get back to me. She responded promptly to my request for quote. She is honest and true to her word. She understood that I was out of state and that I needed her to clean up yard waste and junk left behind by a former tenant. I don't usually pay someone in advance work but in good faith I decided to do it with her based on her past reviews. They completed the work over and above expectations! When it comes to how they run their business.... quote, schedule work, perform the scope work. Thank you Ms. Bailey and I look forward to working with you in the near future."

Carpet Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If the chemical compounds that make up pet pee haven’t been properly neutralized, the smell of urine can be reactivated with water and linger even after cleaning. You may also notice a remaining pee smell in carpets if the urine has soaked down to the carpet padding, which is more difficult to access and clean than the carpet itself.

While it may be possible to use a carpet cleaner on a couch, it is often not recommended and requires significant caution. Some carpet cleaners contain harsh or abrasive chemicals that are unsuitable for soft upholstery fabrics. To determine if it's safe, always check your couch's care tag, which dictates approved cleaning methods. If you decide to proceed, ensure the carpet cleaner has an upholstery attachment and that you are using a cleaning solution specifically designed for upholstery. It is also crucial to avoid oversaturating the fabric. Before cleaning the entire couch, always test the cleaner on a small, hidden area to check for potential damage or discoloration.

There are a few reasons your area rug smells after cleaning. First, you might have agitated dirt, dust, and pet dander deep in the rug during cleaning, which might smell for a day or two if you didn’t remove it all. Second, if your rug smells like chemicals, it’s possible you didn’t rinse out all of the rug cleaning solution you used. Finally, if you didn’t hang up your rug to dry completely, it could be holding moisture and allowing mold to grow. In any of these cases, it’s a good idea to defer to a professional for help.

Yes, vinegar is a popular DIY carpet stain remover that can get ink out of carpeting. Try saturating the ink stain with undiluted vinegar and blotting it until the stain is lifted. If this doesn’t work, try rubbing alcohol as a plan B.

Frequent vacuuming and spot cleaning, plus periodic deep cleaning to preserve condition.
