"I hate to echo the sentiments of the previous reviewer, but their frustration is spot-on. The initial phases - planning, making selections, etc went great- genuinely an enjoyable process, and I really liked everyone I interacted with, but that’s where the positive feelings come to an abrupt end with JOMA. The quality of their work is NOT on par with the local hype or their pricing. They left us with a wildly unfinished house full of glaring errors and countless things straight up not working. We are STILL not able to live in the house, despite the final payment going through 3.5 months ago. I understand mistakes happen, and I have gone out of my way to be accommodating, friendly, understanding, available for communication, etc. In return I have been ignored, dismissed, “told what I want to hear,” and treated like I don’t understand how this stuff works. (I own 3 houses in the state of Georgia and have worked with tons of contractors and done a LOT of construction myself— I’m not just some annoying lady who is impossible to please! I know what is good work vs bad work, and I KNOW when I’m being dicked around.) Getting them to live up to their warranty and follow through on anything they say has been an utter nightmare. I would LOVE to update this review with a positive outcome, if they can somehow redeem themselves. For all the amazing reviews out there about these folks, it will be easy to write off someone like me or the other homeowner who wrote an angry review here. I myself saw that one review and chose to ignore it because so many other people had great things to say, but here I am wishing I could have a stiff drink with that other homeowner and commiserate about our very expensive very bad time with the “best in the business!”"
