Another PDR nightmare!! PDR took our contents and didn't inventory it. Nine months later after our attorney threatened them they finally created an inventory of what they had on hand. What came back from PDR was dirty (rugs and furniture), corroded (cast iron and copper, poorly packed (we books wrapped in paper and fragile heirloom crystal wrapped and thrown in a box), shrunk (several wool items), melted (plastic items). They claimed they had a water leak and some of our items were destroyed and not replaced. Some items never came back which is hard to prove without the original inventory and we even had some things returned to us that weren't ours to start with another disturbing concept. All in all it was a horrible experience. If your insurance wants you to use these shysters try to get another company (I've good things about onlycontents.com, but no firsthand experience). Whatever you do if you use them, don't let them leave your site without handing you a detailed inventory of your stuff. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN.
Description of Work: PDR of Rome (search for review) took the job of restoring and cleaning our contents after a fire broke out in our residence. PDR of Dallas (owner company of PDR of Rome) took the job of attempting to clean the content of our house that were removed to their facility. Since PDR never created an original inventory they submitted a fictitious one to our insurance company and got paid directly on items we didn't even have.

This company PDR of Dallas was refer by my insurance company to handled "cleaning" for their satellite office in Rome, GA. (Search Paul Davis Restoration of Rome for detail of their work. hint, look for another "F") The company received my contents, never inventoried them until they received a threat from my lawyer, had to clean the items multiple times. They were unaware of how to clean wool and shrunk a number of items, had water leaks in their storage facility and destroyed some of our contents, lost items, returned cast iron and copper items rusted/corroded (lack of proper care), some plastic items were melted, we had wood furniture returned destroyed by them as well, I was a nightmare all the way around. Their estimate was that there was ~$25,000 dollars worth of cleaning needed. This was based on an estimate instead of an actual inventory. If you choose this vendor to clean your contents (a decision you will mostly likely regret) do not let them off your property without a detailed inventory. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY, RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!
Description of Work: The content of my house needed cleaning after a fire broke out in my basement.
