I have been very happy with all the work that Mary Jo has done in our home. We initially worked together to decorate our primary living space. That went so well that I asked for help in another room. Mary Jo and her office staff, are very professional in organizing what needs to be done to get the project completed. We are very happy with the quality of work that was provided and would not hesitate to recommend their work to anyone

Consulted with us for exterior color choices for repainting our home. I wanted to change the color but had a hard time visualizing paint colors. She chose colors I would never have thought to select but once she showed them to me I loved them. We are having the house painted next week. She also spent a lot of time giving me ideas and suggestions for furniture placement and design for the basement. Really learned a lot in the short time she was here. Definitely a great value and I would use her again

It went very well. Both ladies gave me many ideas. Some were big ideas, I need new furniture for sure. Also need new window treatments, etc. Although I am not in the mood right now to redecorate the house, the two went on giving me advice on what I could do. They never hinted that they were disappointed that I do not want to do anything now; they were true professionals.I had signed up for the deal because I needed a pick-me-up from the daily grind. They gave me the best two hours I have spent in years. Right now I am trying to correct the mistakes former workers made. I am having a handyman doing all sorts of work inside and outside the house . After that, and if I have any money left ,I wll contact Mary Jo for the jobs she does. I was really amazed how knowledgeable both ladies were and how easily they conveyed their ideas

They completely met our needs, which weren't much at the time, and they did not try to upsell us to add'l services. We will call them to ask for help with our new house, which will require much more extensive services, and I anticipate that Cooper will treat us the same as before. We've interview many interior designers. Some were lacking creativity and meeting our needs, and others were almost condescending. I'm sure, from experience, that this company is creative to meeting their customers' needs, and they will speak to their client's level of knowledge

It went very well. Mary Jo was very professional and knowledgeable. We decided on a color pallet and materials for my kitchen, which is my priority. Unfortunately, because of distance, she can't supervise the actual work, and advised me to deal with a reputable contractor. She also offered to order any materials that she can get at a discount. She also advised on what could be done about our master bath, which is an odd shape and size, and also window coverings for our master bedroom. This visit was very helpful, and I only wish she was closer so she could get the project done. She is very personable and was pleasant to work with

I wondered whether I could afford to hire Mary Jo Cooper, but as it turned out, I couldn’t afford NOT to hire her. I was in a serious bind with my home. The housing market for my area had not yet recovered, and while my mortgage was not underwater, the current value of my home was still tens of thousands of dollars under what I had paid almost 15 years ago. Then, to compound the problem, my home was damaged and required extensive repair. Oh, and, did I mention that I needed to sell my home within the next year? I was overwhelmed trying to determine what needed to be done in order to repair my home and renovate for sale, but still minimize further financial loss. So, I called Mary Jo. Mary Jo had requested that I complete an assessment prior to her visit so that she was prepared to meet my needs. From the moment she arrived, Mary’s ideas and recommendations flowed at about 25 per minute. I was taking notes as quickly as possible, but barely kept up. I quickly learned that much of the task list that I had established for preparing my home for sale was misguided. Mary Jo suggested many far less expensive ways of updating my house for the younger and trendier demographic that is purchasing in my area. What I truly loved about her style was that she is very specific. She didn’t suggest color families for paint – she provided manufacturers and precise paint codes. She didn’t tiptoe when my ideas didn’t work – she quickly indicated that they wouldn’t meet my objectives and recommended alternatives. By the time Mary Jo left, I felt that I had a quite workable plan of action established. And then, things changed. The timetable for selling my house was extended by several years. While I was quite happy with the plan we’d developed for selling, now that I'd be here longer, I wanted to modify the plan to better fit my style and taste while keeping the style within the taste parameters of the future purchasers, as well. So, I called Mary Jo again. Round two was even better than the initial visit. (I think that I failed to mention earlier that even though Mary Jo is focused on meeting your objectives, she is also fun!) We’d covered a number of things in the first visit that didn’t need to be changed, so with this visit, we came up with a new wall and flooring plan, vetted my bathroom tile schemes, determined how to update my existing furniture, selected upholstery fabrics and discussed accessories/art. I received so much more value from Mary Jo than I ever expected. Her advice saved me from spending thousands of dollars that would not provide the return that I hoped to receive. And even more importantly, for the first time in years, I am excited about my home again. I’ve begun to implement our plan and can’t wait to see the final product! Thank you, Mary Jo

Over the last few years, Mary Jo Cooper gave me superb decorating advice, and Rodney Cooper did all the excellent work. Rodney laid a beautiful hardwood floor in the kitchen, family room and hall. His handyman work was always knowledgeable and professional, whether the work was carpentry, electric, plumbing, etc. He was prompt, efficient, cheerful, and answered all my questions. He always cleaned up after himself in whatever work he did. The most recent work was to replace some fans and light fixtures in preparation for listing the house.Whenever I wanted an improvement in the house, I called Mary Jo. When I needed new windows, she chose nice quality windows and a good installer, and they are one of the improvements that appealed to the buyers. When I wanted two bathrooms redecorated, I asked Mary Jo to do it without removing the tile that was in good condition. She magically redecorated both baths, saving money without sacrificing appearance. She further saved me both time and money by shopping for good merchandise at discounted prices, or buying direct. Her final project was to stage my house for listing it for sale. When she staged, she did it at little cost by removing pictures and furniture, and showing off the best pieces. She had a very good, but reasonable painter, paint most of the interior, choosing just the right color. She had Rodney replace minor things like fans and lights, but that was at reasonable costs and made a big difference in appearances. Again, Mary Jo saved me time by doing the shopping for me, always choosing what I liked at a reasonable cost. She is very professional, fair, and just a great decorator (who also has a nice sense of humor). I liked. She is very professional, fair, and just a great decorator (who also has a nice sense of humor)
