It went great! I was apprehensive about having a designer come into our new home during the pandemic so I used Lilabeth's Interiors e-design service and I was so impressed! She spent time with me to determine my personal style, my needs, and goals. She was communicative, responsive, creative, and just a joy to work with! She provided down-to-earth recommendations that were simple yet versatile. She helped me set up my personal office so that I could transition from working on my desktop to Zoom meetings to homeschooling my children! She even took into account how the sunlight coming through my windows would interfere with my Zoom meetings! I will definitely use Lilabeth Interiors again and recommend them time and time again

As a Reator, I am always looking for ways to help Sellers put their home on the Market in the best light. I have used Karen's staging services for several years now and have always been pleased with the results. She really does create the "WOW Factor". She will do an initial 2 hour "Walk and Talk", going through the house room by room and giving her ideas as to what needs to be done to improve the presentation of the home to a potential Buyer. She then follows that up with a written Action Plan for the Sellers to follow. The Sellers also have an option to hire Karen to do the actual work, if they prefer. Several Sellers have commented that they love the way she arranges furniture and accessories, and that they would like to have her help them set up their new home! Working with Karen has been a great experience, and I highly recommend her to everyone! She is punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and talented

The owners had their own furnishings that they moved from another unit into this unit. Karen spent 6 hours staging the unit with the Seller's artwork, rugs, accessories and furniture. The unit was spectacular after she finished. My sellers were very pleased with the way everything looked. Karen has done vacant houses and condos for me, as well. The before and after photos say it all. 99% of consumers start their Home Search on the Internet. If the Property does not look inviting online, the buyer skips over it. It is as simple as that! Vacant houses also always look smaller than furnished houses. Buyers do not have good imaginations. Karen sets a very welcoming, inviting stage, which results in the buyer envisioning themselves in the Property. I have have nothing but incredible results with Karen and have referred her to other Realtors, who have been equally as thrilled with her services

The contractor’s name is Robert, he just finished a big project, and he is going to start another one for me. He is good. The price and his honesty, everything is good. He came $7000 under my highest bid and $3000 under my medium bid, so it was reasonable and he didn’t want to gouge my money.

Working with Paula was a wonderful experience. The paint colors which she helped us select are beautiful; since repainting, we have received many compliments from visitors. Paula showed us where to find affordable (but very nice) office furniture. In other rooms, she used the furniture and artwork which we own to stage our house. Our additional purchases have been minimal. As she was rearranging, she would explain her reasoning, and it always had to do with the impression that it would leave on the prospective buyer. Paula certainly knows what she is doing. It was a pleasure to do business with her

Julie Young was excellent. When she first gave suggestions for the furniture/artifacts/personal items that she thought should be removed, and furniture that should be rearranged, I was very resistant. It didn't seem like it would be my home. But that is the point. I want prospective buyers to think of it as their home. Julie and I went through area by area, room by room. She not only pointed out what should be done, but she was very hands-on with hanging pictures and moving things around. She was also easy and pleasant to work with. She gave great suggestions about major improvements and also small changes that did make a big difference. Once everything was done, with clutter and personal items removed, and furniture repositioned to bring out the highlights, space, and openness of the condominium, the result was spectacular. My condominium looked so lovely that I had second thoughts about selling. And, even in a tough condo market, it did sell within a month. I enthusiastically recommend Julie Young at By Designs

"I wanted very much to believe this company would be managed well and would be as professional and reliable as the website and reviews online made it appear. They were quick to come out and give an estimate for the job and we set up the day and time with them same day. It SEEMED like all was in order until the confirmation call came and it had the wrong day and time! They had possibly double booked themselves and we were the ones having to make adjustments which did not seem right. Then, on the day of the move we had been told a time frame in which they would arrive and that we would receive a call when they were on the way. The call came, but only once they were already AT the house which was frustrating because my husband and I had gone to the new residence (a short distance away) to ensure it was ready to take the load of boxes and furniture. The packing itself went very quickly though it seemed questionable as to how careful they were being as I heard bangs and thuds as I was helping to box stuff up. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt I shrugged off the uneasiness I was feeling and kept working. The biggest issues arose at the new residence as items were being unloaded from the truck. A drawer in our tv stand (which they loaded) was not secured in place or removed before they attempted to transport the item from the truck and I turned towards the truck in time to watch as the drawer flew out the back of the truck and smashed on the pavement. They wrote up a damage report which we signed and were told that a manager would contact us to resolve the problem. NO ONE CONTACTED US and we still have a tv stand with no drawer. In addition to that, a few weeks later as we were listing our bed frame for sale, we came to find out that a part of the wooden frame had been damaged (this was a $1800 wooden bed frame). So apparently I should have listened to my gut and looked into the banging noises I had heard earlier. No, we did not report the additional damage as we needed the large piece out of the way. So we repaired the damage as best we could, took the loss, and reduced our asking price to sell the piece. I don't want to be entirely negative here as there were some very good aspects of the company. They were very kind, they had lots of helping hands for the price and they did indeed work fast (and as it is priced by the hour it was great to see them hustle!). My husband and I both grew up as army brats so we feel like we have a good sense of what a good verses bad move is like. With this company we felt that, in part, we got what we paid for. With our tight budget, speed was the top importance to us, which meant we should to be willing to accept the possibility of there being less focus on being careful. To conclude our overall feelings, we hope the company will work to improve their communication all around so fewer mix ups and problems will occur. (Honestly, we felt like a majority of the issues could have been easily and quickly resolved had there been better and more reliable communication.) We truly appreciated the kindness of the crew, their positive attitudes, and their drive to hustle as these are attributes that can be very hard to find when hiring help. While we did not love the whole experience, we are realistic people and understand accidents happen. We have certainly known worse and will keep the company in consideration for future moves.

"I think my expectations may have been too high reading the reviews. I thought I would end up with a grand plan for finishes and furniture placement like when staging a house. However, she did help me select the right paint color, and gave me recommendations on people to contact for the painting and for the granite, but she didn't have any samples or ideas on the granite. I thought she would be bringing all kinds of samples. She talked to me about adding a header to the curtains and the furniture placement. And we talked about my idea for adding in stonework. She also confirmed that the existing colors were a mix of warm and cool which is why they weren't working. So I came away with a paint color, some names of vendors, and some ideas which is more than I started with.

When Peggy came to talk with me, her gentle reassurance as I talked about what needed to be done gradually soothed my fears. She came in with her crew and did an unbelievable job of organizing and preparing my home for moving. They were unobtrusive, gentle in their questions and recommendations. They began in the garage, clearing it out of and quot;storageand quot; and junk, then cleaned the floors. Then they moved 60+ boxes of household memories into the garage for storage, readying me for eventual loading onto a truck. Their gentle care of my possessions was reassuring that I was going to survive this move.
<br /> They then went through the house room by room and deep cleaned them. They were patient with me when I would panic and ask them to not come, waiting until I could once again move forward and watch my home being dismantled. She arranged for carpet and bathroom vinyl laying and introduced me to a couple of real estate agents that she trusted. As I trusted Peggy with her resources of services, it lifted the enormous burden of decision making in finding contractors for various projects, knowing that I wasn't going to run into one of those who scam senior citizens. As I mourned the breakdown of my home where I raised my family, Peggy was patient and listened to my memories and fears and gently kept me moving forward.
<br /> I am SO glad I found this service, it is as much a moving company as it is a ministry to senior citizens and families, freeing up my adult children from worry on how to help mom move. My family live all over the State with growing families and were struggling to know how to help me in this process. I was frightened at having a bunch of people coming in and just throwing things out, and pushing me into decisions on what to keep and what to get rid of. Peggy's company spent about 50 hours helping me dismantle my home. I kept my independence by hiring this wonderful service, yet have finally been able to move into the next stage of my life. This has been priceless to me. Now to sell my house!!
