"Unpaid Wages and Unprofessional Conduct Unprofessional practices I regret to share my negative experience with SsHomePros. Despite fulfilling my job responsibilities diligently, I have not received my due wages for November 11-15,2024 along with computer software that I was told to be added to my check once I paid for it and gas for over 157 miles driven from appointment to appointment. Multiple attempts to resolve this issue through direct communication have been ignored or met with unprofessional responses with harassing texts up until 12 am. This situation has caused significant financial stress and disappointment. I am a single mom of two boys and not being paid has caused a tremendous strain, especially with it being Christmas. I worked for him for less than 30 days so he did not know me well enough to say all the things that he was saying. I was called a liar , accused of being high, While his office staff put me in the hospital with an herbal tea and I was not the first to be admitted to the hospital with the herbal teas I’ve come to find out. I urge potential employees to be cautious and ensure all agreements are clearly documented. He prays on drug addicts and alcoholics to underpay them and speak to them like garbage. Some jobsite ls had copper wiring stolen among other things. I hope Dave Lineberry President of Southern States Home Pros takes immediate steps to rectify this situation and prevent similar issues for future employees. His derogatory remarks and inappropriate insulting insinuations are more than unprofessional."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Each insulation type has its own R-value, so you’ll want to weigh the pros and cons of your materials when deciding which one will give you the best value. Energy.gov recommends you choose a pipe wrap that’s at least one inch thick. The International Code Council (ICC) suggests choosing a pipe material with an R-value of at least 3.

If you have a number of large icicles on your roof, you may have an issue with insulation. This is particularly true if you’re also dealing with ice dams. A roofing contractor can diagnose potential insultation issues and help you come up with a game plan to solve them.

No, 55 degrees Fahrenheit is not too cold for a house, as it’s a temperature that will keep your pipes and appliances from freezing. Well-insulated homes can even go to 50 degrees, but check with an HVAC pro before opting for such a low temperature. Stick to 55 degrees to be on the safe side.

Yes. Proper, complete insulation will ensure that you trap the most cool or warm air inside your home, preventing high energy bills. In addition, insulation tends to settle and compress, leaving gaps over time; the more you insulate completely during the initial installation, the less you’ll need to do down the line.

In some cases, yes, insulating an unheated garage can lead to mold and mildew. The issue with insulating a garage is that the interior will warm up and cool down more slowly than the exterior air, which can cause condensation inside the space. Where there is moisture, there is likely to be mold and mildew over time. Installing a vapor barrier can help avoid moisture and mildew problems in an insulated garage.
