"The service technician arrived on time after he had previously called about an hour earlier which I appreciated very much. Upon arrival, he asked me which items I wanted him to address and in the order I wanted him to work on them in case he ran out of time as this was a special 2 hour electrical deal purchased through Angie's List. Both of the two primary requests were completed well within the time limit so I asked him to perform a third service to install the old ceiling fan light on another ceiling fan. Although after thoroughly trying, he determined they were not compatible. The service tech did a very good job and I would definitely consider this company for future electrical needs."

"Donnie was great. We had a light fixture wired in an unusual manner to the AC outlets, which caused a lot of problems when I tried to change the light fixture. A quick job turned into challenging trouble-shooting. He also replaced a bathroom vent fan."

"it was a great experience from start to finish. Jacob and his team were knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. They had a GREAT price (i got several estimates) and got the work done as quickly as anyone couldve expected. Part of the work required a permit and these guys knew exactly how to handle that whole government process so that it was seemless and easy for me. I wish i had more work for them to do so i could hire them, again. They were the best contractors I've ever had work for me in any trade. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for any kind of electrical work to be done."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

As you scroll through countless types of recessed lighting, look for features and light quality. Motion sensors can make your home more accessible. Smart-ready fixtures give you control at your fingertips. Light quality can set the mood. The package's label and the online specs for LED lights will display the lumens and Kelvin (K). Lumens tell you the brightness—650 for daylight, one for candlelight. Kelvin tells you the temperature—warm (below 4,000K), neutral, or cool (above 5,000K).

When replacing a chandelier, there is little need to do any significant re-modifications. The cost will vary depending on whether the existing wiring is functional. Expect to pay around $115 to $280. If you install a chandelier in a position without any wiring, installation costs range from $145 to $400. Certain factors can also increase the price, such as upgrading junction boxes or installing heavy fixtures.

Believe it or not, you have more options for outdoor kitchen lighting than you do inside. While you can opt for a pendant light or under-counter or cabinet lighting, everything from tiki torches to LED twinkle lights are also fair game. Just make sure that all electrical fixtures, including lighting, are rated for humid and damp conditions before spending money on them.

LED lights last much longer than conventional incandescent light bulbs. Most manufacturers estimate that LED bulbs can last between 10 and 15 years, but they more often last between four and seven years with regular use. Other factors, such as heat exposure and surging electrical currents, can cause an LED bulb to burn out prematurely.

Where you place your lamp post is dependent on several factors. For example, if you’re installing a lamppost for aesthetic lighting purposes, you’ll want to consider placing it in a highly-visible spot or a location that illuminates a yard feature. Use it as a focal point of your outdoor living space or use it to light up a garden or walkway. Be sure, however, to avoid any obstructions like trees or other structures that might be in the way or will cast a shadow.
