"Since new construction is king right now, for a few years we struggled to find a contractor that would renovate our back porch which was in desperate need. We finally found Mike McCall, owner of McCall Custom Builders and appreciated him from the first meeting. He was punctual, professional, attentive, honest, extremely fair, and experienced. He diligently checked in with us to ensure we were happy with the direction of the project as well as keeping us informed along the way. While he would provide his experiences, knowledge, and preferences he always wanted to make sure it was what we wanted. While construction costs were sometimes more than expected, Mike was very conscientious about cost and offered alternatives whenever available. He was very transparent with costs, outlining them throughout and then with a final reconciliation at the end of the project. We have to give a special shout out to his framer and crew. "The whole experience was terrible. Thomas is a great salesman, but do not be fooled; once he has the money, you are screwed. Be prepared for poor communication, a lack of accountability, and poor craftsmanship. They do not monitor the quality of the subcontractors, nor do they care; they only want your money, and they upcharge at every chance they get. When you hold payment because the work is not completed, McCloskey Homes will threaten to stop all work. This guy is a complete liar. My wife and I had the misfortune of having him build our home with McCloskey Homes. I am stuck with the bill for correcting all the items that are of poor quality, and the list is extensive. According to Thomas, all the issues that are wrong with the home are my fault for moving in. There is no warranty, no punch list items will be dealt with, and no damage they caused will be corrected; they just get your money and move on to the next victim. Save yourself the aggravation and find a more competent contractor. I would never recommend McCloskey Homes to anyone."

"Underwood Construction Consulting Incorporated UCCI completed a very successful renovation of the kitchen? sun room and laundry room in our home that included removal of a load-bearing wall and raising the floor of the sunroom. They also repaired hurricane damage to our roof, soffit, and front porch ceiling. This company was selected for our project based upon the excellent. Professional credentials of Mr Ted Lucky Underwood. Is the history of complex project completion and the positive reviews of his prior work? He had creative ideas for accomplishing the work. And was responses to every request and concern. They employed competence subcontractors for different phases of the project and held them to excellent completion standards. Two of his sons did much of the work on the project and were a pleasure to work with. We were very pleased with all of the work that was done. And we highly recommend Mr. Lucky Underwood and UCCI for similar or even more complicated construction work with no reservations."

"Wouldn’t recommend or rehire for services. Could never predict if/when installers would arrive, little project oversight on behalf of the company. After finishing the project late, I was disappointed and frustrated with the lack of attention to detail and sloppiness, particularly with the trim and caulking. I will give credit that they offered to come fix the remaining issues that I identified after the install, but I chose not to accept the offer and repaired the issues myself."
