Small jobs welcome

"I recently had a wood fence installed by Marshal landscaping LLC and am beyond thrilled with the final product!!! Adam, Kris and Devon were extremely helpful, attentive and knowledgeable. Adam and Kris made great recommendations when I was not sure of what to do or what decision to make. They also repaired part of a link fence and completed a roof for for the bird seeds I put out. They made this whole process smooth and stress free for me. This experience was outstanding and I am highly satisfied with the outcome. I cannot say enough good things about Adam and his company. They exceeded my expectations, I HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely use them again!"

"Darla and her crew did a large landscaping project for us that required bark, trees and plants to be removed from several areas around our house as well as create a new bed in front of our pool equipment. Her vision for our yard was exactly what we wanted. We had other bids, but when Darla showed us her drawing, she was the only one that was very creative and came up with a one of a kind unique plan. She was at our house every day working hard along side her crew and stayed late each day. We could not be more pleased with our beautiful new plants, trees and the rock selected for our beds. Several people in our neighborhood asked her for her business card after seeing how our landscaping turned out. She was absolutely a pleasure to work with."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can technically make a crawl space liveable, but the only way to do so is by converting it into a basement. While some crawl spaces are big enough to walk through and store large items, they lack appropriate insulation and space to be liveable.

Dumpsters work best on hard, study, and level surfaces made of asphalt, stone, or concrete. If the surface is uneven or too soft, the dumpster could get stuck or tip over when filled. Keep in mind that you must obtain a dumpster permit to keep it on a city street in many areas.

The rules and regulations regarding groundwater use vary between states. To find out if you can dig a well on your property, you’ll have to consult these regulations, address any compliance requirements, and get the appropriate permits. It’s also important to check that your intended location has the right geology and water table to support a well.

A walk-behind trencher can cut through roots as long as they’re not too thick, making a project much easier than digging with a shovel and other hand tools. Assess your terrain and the number of trees in the surrounding area to determine if a walk-behind trencher will ease the job. Digging a trench by hand is much more time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
