"Jim was friendly, quick to respond, and efficient. We are very grateful for the work his team completed and that they were able to complete it much sooner than we originally expected. The painters did an excellent job painting our walls and trims. Will definitely hire them again for future painting needs."

"The owner is extremely courteous & was always on time with calls and appointments from the 1st day for the estimate through patiently waiting for our additional renovations to be done so they could get started painting. His crew for pressure cleaning, fixing the stucco and concrete along with the painting crew were also very efficient and very courteous. My husband & I were extremely happy from start to finish & we absolutely recommend Paint Central Florida. ?"

Painting questions, answered by experts

You should inspect the area regularly for rust, clean it with a wire brush, repaint it every few years, and apply a protective sealant to prevent corrosion.

Yes, many fence repair services include treatments like sanding, priming, rust prevention, and repainting to protect the fence and restore its appearance. These services help prevent further corrosion and improve aesthetics. However, since not all providers include this, it is best to confirm what is covered before scheduling the repair.

You should repaint your fence every 1 to 3 years, depending on the appearance of wear and tear. Weather and usage will factor into how often you should paint another coat on your fence. If you need to replace a few fence boards or posts, you may want to consider repainting the fence to help protect the rest of the fence as well as the new pieces against damage and deterioration from being exposed to the elements.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood, as this helps prevent the surface from cracking. However, it is crucial to wait for the wood to dry out completely from the chemical treatment process before applying a finish. If the wood is still wet, the paint will not adhere properly. The drying time can range from weeks to six months. To test if the wood is ready, drip some water onto a board. If the water is absorbed, the wood is dry enough for painting or staining. If the water beads up on the surface, it needs more time to dry. You can build with the wood while it's still wet, but you must wait for it to dry before painting.

Whether to brush or roll stain on wood depends on the project and your preference. Brushing is ideal for smaller, intricate areas and offers more control over the application, ensuring thorough coverage and penetration into the wood's grain.

Conversely, rolling is efficient for more extensive, flat surfaces and can save time. However, it is not always the best fit for textured or uneven wood. Some projects may benefit from combining both methods, using a brush for detail work and a roller for broader areas. Ultimately, the choice between brushing and rolling depends on the specific requirements of your staining project.
