"I had my kitchen cabinets refaced with new doors and painting for the existing cabinets. My home need a face left and I couldnâ  t ask for a better company of professionals to do the job They were on time and very attentive. I canâ  t brag enough on how precise their measurements are. Each door on the cabinets match up just right and even. No paint or paint residue was on anything in my kitchen. My purchase with them was well worth it, and I would highly recommend Quality Cabinet Coating to anyone. My kitchen is gorgeous!!"

Small jobs welcome

"My wife and I (tired of looking at the builder's paint in our home) recently took on the task to repaint our living room, stairway, and upstairs loft to give our home a fresh look. However, after finishing the walls of the living room area, we quickly realized that we had taken on a bigger task than we initially planned and we needed help with the remainder of the project. After several visits from other painting companies, we met with Justin of JG Painting Plus. Justin was very patient in listening to what my wife and I wanted (as this was our first time hiring a painter) and provided us not only a step-by-step explanation of how he would tackle the job, but also recommendations we had not even considered. Based on a walk-thru of our home and conversations with Justin, we also decided to have our living room and kitchen ceiling repainted along with our stairway and upstairs loft. After our meeting, Justin provided us a quote the following day that we felt was fair, and we accepted his services. To say that Justin did great job is an understatement, as he not only gave our home a much needed face-lift, but also provided customer service that went above and beyond any expectations we had. For example, Justin fixed several of the amateur DIY patchwork jobs I had done on a few walls before he painted them. Justin also helped put our minds at ease by removing-and-patching-up a section of our ceiling that had pretty bad water damage, prior to him painting it. As my wife and I both work full-time we were hesitant to have someone working in our home while we were not there. However, working with Justin helped alleviate any concerns we had as he was the utmost professional and was in constant contact with us to let us know when he planned to arrive at our home, when he started working, when he was taking lunch, etc. My wife and I feel lucky we were able to find someone who not only did/does great work and is a pleasure to work with, but also someone we trust. If we ever are in need of help with any other paint jobs we will definitely give Justin/JG Painting Plus a call! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help with a painting project."

"Timely, professional, honored the original quoted price even though the project was slightly delayed. Was also the best quoted price we found for the project. Luis was extremely nice and responsive to questions as well. Highly recommended."

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing FAQs, answered by experts

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.

Yes, replacing cabinet doors only as part of a cabinet refacing project. During the cabinet-refacing process, the doors and drawers are typically replaced, while the cabinet boxes themselves are covered with a veneer or laminate. If you’re content with the look of the cabinet boxes, however, you can simply swap out the doors to save money on labor and materials.

You can modernize an old-looking closet by just painting it, but beyond that, consider electric elements like recessed or accent lighting. If this is a large and deep closet, you can consider adding an island to the middle or a nice ottoman on a rug. Luxury closets will have even more items, like felt-lined drawers for watches and jewelry, in-wall safes, electronic shoe storage, or a tablet catalog of their items.

No, in most cases, you do not have to remove your countertops to reface cabinets. Since refacing primarily involves updating the doors, drawer fronts, and exterior surfaces, your existing countertops can usually stay right where they are, making the process quicker and less disruptive. However, if your counters prevent the access needed to remove doors and drawers, they may need to be temporarily removed. It's best to consult with a professional cabinet contractor to assess your specific kitchen layout during an estimate.
