- American Pool & SpasI would like to share my experience with this company, I am going to start by saying that they need to change their slogan to "Thank you for your patience" because certainly, you are going to hear this a lot from them. Here is what happened: September/22: After a research we ended up choosing American Pools and Spas to build our pool, the company seemed more reliable, but I think it was because of Matt, the sales person, he is professional and very convincing, unfortunely he is the only one who provided a good work for us. We signed the contract in 09/26/22. October/22: they started working on the permits within the County. By the end of November (11/22/22) all the permits were approved. Nothing happened in December and after asking them for a start date they came up with an internal deadline for the construction, that we were not aware of it (they did not mention that when we signed the contract). January/18: they started sending emails asking for changes in the project but never said a word about when the work would start and kept saying: "Thanks for your patience". January/27th: we received another fake promised that our project would be released to construction the following week and of course, it never happened. February/5th: we decided to cancel the project, we lost our faith in the company. They have no accountabilty, no commitment, only vague promisses that they never honored. They tried to convince us to keep the project, the owner called us, but they still did not provide any dates, we never heard an apology from them, just the usual: "Thanks for your patience". For canceling the contract we were penalized losing our entire deposit and on (February/9th) they promised to return our payment for the turf, that we added later, in 2 weeks (February/23rd) and it was another fake promised because, after the 2 weeks passed by we did not received anything, so we had to send another email (February/27th) and the answers was: "That check is being issued today and should be in the mail tomorrow. We thank you for your patience." The icing on the cake, to close this terrible experience with this company, today 03/06/23, an Orange County inspector visited us to check the pool, because they did not canceled the project with the County and of course, I had to contact them AGAIN to inform that and ask them to do THEIR job. I really don't recommend this company, they are good to sell but they don't deliver. They act like amateurs, they give you nothing but promisses, they never acknowlegde their mistakes and they never keep their promisses. All in all, we ended up without a pool and without our initial deposit
- Premier Pools of Central Florida Inc.Getting a pool built is definitely a life altering experience and I'm not sure I would want to do it again, having said that, Premier Pools made this process run very smoothly. When I say it's a life altering experience I mean that you should be prepared for your yard to look like a bomb hit it and I was warned by the folks at Premier Pools about this, so they did prepare me before the construction started. My experience with Premier was excellent from start to finish, no construction job is ever perfect, but this one was pretty close. When I initially contacted Premier Pools, they setup an appointment to have a sales person visit my home for a free estimate. The salesman Todd, arrived on time and was very friendly and listened to what my wife and I wanted. He spent about 2 hours at our home taking measurements surveying the land and finally putting together a 3D computer generated rendering of what the pool could look like on his laptop. Kudos to Todd because the design and the final product were pretty much identical! The entire process took about 3 months, it took a bit longer than anticipated because of weather and inspection delays, which I expected and this was no big deal. I would also like to give praise to the construction staff at Premier as well. - Denise: She was the project coordinator and did an excellent job of answering my numerous emails, keeping everything on track and on schedule. In addition, she also has a great sense of humor! - Plumbing Team (Alan & Ken): Excellent work all around. Very friendly as well. They scared me a bit when I saw how close some of their digging equipment was to my house but they left everything exactly as it was before they started - Tile Team (Mark & Keith): Excellent Work as well. They were at the job everyday by 7:30am, also very friendly. - Supervisor (Rodney): Excellent job. He answered all my questions, was very friendly and resolved a construction issue within an hour of me reporting it. - Electrician (Michael): I didn't get a chance to meet him, but he setup the electrical equipment very nicely and all the wiring was nicely tucked away and buried The big question is, would I recommend Premier Pools to anyone looking for a pool, YES! Premier Pools is a great company who was thee for me every step of the way from start to finish and they even assisted me with getting to a good finance company

Of course this was a good time to get it done while new pool construction is lessened. Garrett Trefcer is an amazing, laid back individual who only cares about solving your design problems. Just a straight shooter all the way. While I realize that certain parts of any big project like this will have its problems and some work will be subbed out, the effect of this was so minimalized with Premier. One thing I'd like to point out, the very first crew, Mark and Keith, deserve special shout out. They paid attention to the detail and even called out to us if they had concerns with a direction in the project. They took the time to communicate with us to solve problems together. We ended up with a finished remodel EXACTLY as we had envisioned and then some. I highly recommend Premier. Hopefully going into service phase of project the quality will continue

"In February 2020, Mad River Pool Construction completed a total remodel of our forty-three-year-old pool. The project included: complete re-plumbing, new surface with added spa, sun shelf, benches, steps, swim-out, LED lighting, cleaner, control automation, and 1,500 square foot Travertine decking. My wife and I have been in the construction trade for over forty years, and we are familiar with qualifying contractors. Not only by referring to online reviews, but also reaching out to many of the material and equipment suppliers for our project. As well as inquiring with representatives about said contractors’ qualifications and proper installation of their products. That being said, we had multiple sources to consult when it came to the remodel of our pool. When asked, almost every one of them named Mad River Pool Construction as one of their top-rated installers and preferred vendors (they pay their bills on time). After interviewing and obtaining estimates from numerous companies, it became abundantly clear to us that Mad River Pool Construction met all of our requirements and was the right contractor for the project. "1 year update review. The team at PBB did an outstanding job. It’s hard to describe the incredible work and dedication each person gave to make our dream pool a reality. During the pool build my daughter passed away. PBB team all came out to visit and bring us a memorial tree to put in our new pool oasis. In honor of our daughter. They brought presents for my granddaughter. While my daughter was sick with cancer they even stopped by with presents to help her through chemo. They are more than pool builders. They actually care about their customers. They honestly care.
Now let’s talk about my pool. Aaron helped us designed it. I absolutely love everything he did. He gave us so many ideas and I seriously put him through a lot of crazy. He never minded sending me pictures or talking through ideas.
Our tile guys Steve and Jimmy were talented and worked through a hurricane. Yes they did. They even let us help. (Mostly for pics😂). We really loved them. Chris, Austin, and Matt worked the hardest trying to make our pool do all of the fun things that Aaron designed. I could call them anytime and they were there to help. Yes even after the pool was done they are always there for me. Our plumber definitely had a big job and he did outstanding too. Everything works perfectly. Tyanna was our project manager and she handled our questions. She is the sweetest person and made sure I knew what was happening along the way. The owners Megan and Bradley should be proud of their team and I know they are. As owners they take pride in the pools they build. I cannot thank everyone enough. We love our pool and feel like we gained a family. Special thanks to Megan for the love she gave us during our daughter’s cancer and death. She called to check on us and picked out a beautiful tree. Emily got to see her daughter go for her first swim and it was perfect. Yes I recommend PBB and hope anyone reading this will chose them for their next pool.
