"Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"

"ZERO STARS - DO NOT RECOMMEND - HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE and MEDIOCRE CLEANING AT BEST! I hired Heather’s Homework’s for 2 things - first, for a post construction clean and then secondly, for a regular clean. Despite the fact that I emphasized over and over that this was a post construction clean (and thus lots of dust and dirt in many places), they gave me a “spring clean”. While the most obvious dirt and dust was gone, they did not even come close to doing the work that I asked them to do. Window frames were undone, there was dust, dirt and grime under the bed and bowls that had been sitting on a table were dusted around vs being moved and the entire piece of furniture dusted (literally could see the “ring” where the bowl sat). So after paying them $1200 to clean a 1500sqft house, I had to personally spend 2 hours cleaning after them. I spoke to them about it and they asked me how I’d like them to rectify it. I offered a relatively easy solution to rectify (cleaning one set of windows on the front porch) and the told me they “couldn’t do that” but they’d figure out a way to perhaps “discount” my next cleaning. Which brings me to the second cleaning (which, I should have cancelled but thought I’d give them a second chance). I was told that they’d arrive between 11am - 1pm and so I planned my exit from the house accordingly (we were moving out so that renters could start renting). At 8:45am I heard someone enter my home and it was Heather’s Homework’s. When I said “my messages said you’d arrive between 11am - 1pm”, the cleaner (who was professional and kind) said “I was told to be here between 8-10am. I checked my phone and sure enough there was a text that I received less than 10 mins before she walked through the door that said they were coming between 8-10am. I spoke to the main office and they said “well we had someone cancel so we had to come earlier”. When I explained that I wasn’t ready for them to be there (was still washing comforters and cleaning out the refrigerator and loading my car with items) they told me “if you arent’ able to get the house ready for cleaning now, we won’t be able to clean for you today - this is the only time we can clean your house”. THIS is the type of customer service that Heather’s Homework’s offers - it has nothing to do with the customer at all (well at least not this customer - apparently I was being penalized for another customer’s cancellation, assuming that this was true). So within 15 mins I moved enough things around so that they could start cleaning and they then got to work while I finished the rest of my packing, etc. And then to add insult to injury, apparently, the cleaning supposedly took them an extra hour (perhaps a combo of the 15-ish minute delay AND because they were supposedly doing a better job to make up for the last failed cleaning) which they then charged me extra for! So I paid an extra $100 to my original quote and then they “discounted” me $50 for the prior poor cleaning. So despite their poor customer service and their poor cleaning, they still found a way to make me pay them even more money! So over $1500 I paid to this company for 2 cleanings - one of which was POOR cleaning at best AND in the second one, I was extremely inconvenienced because one of their other customers cancelled on them and they thought it was acceptable to show up to my house more than 2 hours earlier than my scheduled appointment time. Is this really a company you want to hire? I am an enormous fan of hiring and supporting small businesses but THIS is a prime example of a small business you should NEVER HIRE"
