"I have used At Your Service many times. Eduardo is very professional and skilled. The company is quick to respond and have come out same day when my sink was clogged. They send you texts to let you know when your tech is on the way. Pricing is very fair but their service is well above average."

"It went well. It's just that the guy was kind of stubborn and wouldn't listen to us. When he was taking the toilet out, we just kept asking him to wrap the bottom in a trash bag. He was going, "Oh, it's fine. It's not going to leak. It's not going to leak." We kept giving him trash bag saying, "Please." He just ignored the trash bag and took it out to the curb and it just leaked toilet water all throughout the house. It was just him, his attitude. We kept trying to tell him to do it and he wouldn't listen. He goes, "I do this all the time. It's not going to leak." And then, when it leaked all over he is going, "Oh, that's clean water anyways. That's clean water." It was coming from the bottom of the toilet and you can't clean that part. It was $200 for the toilet, installing it and price of the toilet. He said it was additional $60 or $70 to install the water shut off valve. I thought the toilet was okay but the valve was over priced. He showed up on time."

"Jeremy did an excellent job installing my kitchen faucet. . If you are looking for a plumber he is your guy! He is a professional, courteous, friendly and has a wonderful personality. He worked quickly and when done ask if I had any other plumbing jobs. I replied yes I have a faucet for my guest bathroom. He said ok let me take a look and installed it as well. Great job and a great price. When he was done he cleaned up putting everything back in its place. Thanks Jeremy! He's very personable and make sure that he take care of you . He considered his clients his friends and wants to make sure everything has done perfectly."

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

The Thanksgiving holiday period is one of the busiest times of the year for plumbers. Both Thanksgiving Day and the day after, often called Black Friday or "Brown Friday" by plumbing professionals, see a significant increase in service requests. This is because a house full of guests, large holiday meals, and unfamiliarity with the home's plumbing can lead to clogged drains, garbage disposal issues, and sewer line backups. Outside of the holidays, the busiest weekdays for plumbers are typically Monday and Tuesday, as many people discover plumbing problems over the weekend but wait to call for service. Despite the holiday, you can rest assured that many plumbers work on Thanksgiving and Black Friday to handle the surge in emergency calls.

DIY is not recommended for commercial settings due to safety and code compliance. Hire licensed professionals.

Emergency plumbers charge a significantly higher rate than for standard service, typically 1.5 to 3 times the normal hourly cost. You can expect to pay between $100 and $500 per hour, with an average of around $200 per hour. In addition to the higher hourly rate, many plumbers charge a flat emergency service or trip fee, which can be between $150 and $300. The final cost depends on the timing of the call; prices are highest for major holidays, followed by weekends and after-hours service on weekdays. For a complex job on a major holiday, a master plumber's rate could reach as high as $600 per hour.

Putting in a new bidet attachment or seat requires as little as 30 minutes. Installing a full bidet toilet or stand-alone bidet might take one to three hours. Additionally, if you need a GFCI outlet installed, that can take 30 minutes to three hours depending on the complexity of the job.

To avoid the high costs of plumbing repairs, watch for potential problems. If you see any signs of a leak, consider hiring a professional plumber. A pro can assess the level of damage and make the appropriate repairs.

Plumbing leaks are always better tackled immediately. You can also fix any minor repairs yourself or ask the plumber if they can use less expensive materials.
