"From start to finish, Egress Inc. did a FANTASTIC job! Every step of the process was a breeze, all the way from placing my first call & speaking with Casey to working with LoraLee leading up to the installation and then the team who came out and did the install itself. The gals who helped coordinate everything were polite, honest and always called/did exactly what they said they were going to do and the install team were absolute professionals in everything that they did. The install team cleaned up nicely and placed our existing rocks neatly around the edge of the window well. The work they completed is great...they are a first class operation and I would highly recommend their services to others!"

"Both Jerry and Cassandra were professional, friendly and efficient. My oversized picture window looks great and my room already feels cooler and easier on the eyes. Next day install, fair pricing and excellent service - a winning combination. I highly recommend."

Small jobs welcome

"Top quality product and service. I contacted Pepe regarding the installation of a multi-panel, complex shower enclosure, and I am truly thrilled with the result. This was a difficult job because of the shape of the shower and an inconveniently located window, and Pepe designed and created a perfect enclosure. He was a very good communicator, keeping me updated as to the timing of the job. Calls and emails were returned promptly. Pepe was so nice and so honest and genuine, giving me and my job the personal attention you do not get with some of the larger companies. He also replaced windows that had broken thermal seals - also doing a beautiful top quality job. I recommend Mountain Glass Guys wholeheartedly - for the quality of the work and the quality of the owner!"

Windows questions, answered by experts

When comparing impact windows vs. hurricane shutters, it’s important to consider the protection and installation details to determine the right choice for you. For constant protection against storms and flying debris, impact windows are a better option than hurricane shutters, especially if you don’t want to install shutters that will change the look of your house. However, impact windows are more costly than hurricane shutters. If you want a budget-friendly option that’s still protective against storms, hurricane shutters are a solid option.

Wood windows will help keep an old home's charm, but they are more expensive and harder to maintain. Vinyl or fiberglass windows offer the best benefits in terms of durability and ease of care while still somewhat blending into the look and feel of an older home.  If the vinyl or fiberglass looks too out of place, consider adding shutters or something similar. The cost of plantation shutters is about $2,990, but the charm they bring to a home is unmatched.

Yes, they address underlying issues, providing long-term seals and energy savings you might need help to achieve.

Yes, but professionals use specialized equipment and cleaning solutions to safely achieve streak-free, long-lasting results.

Most modern egress windows installed in basements open outward into a window well, although some older homes have in-swing windows. Egress windows, like casement windows used in other parts of the home, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, may open inward, and these windows are often larger than outward-opening windows.
