"Next time you walk by an egress window on one of these flipped homes - check out the workmanship - crooked, leaking glue out the sides, certainly no permit. I know this because I have witnessed it AND I called one of those "cheap" window people for an estimate (notice how they are ready at the drop off a hat and then drop out of sight when there are problems? The window placed by Egree Inc is perfect. Was it more expensive - not much more than as egress window placed in 2013 that was equal in quality. It was also permitted, inspected, and sits level without leftover glue seeping out the sides. Was there a wait time - not more than I would expect from any quality provider. I was kept informed on the timeline and the window was completed as promised. BONUS - the workmanship is guaranteed and the company will be around to stand behind the workmanship. Excellent work."

"I am very skeptical on door to door sales but they did everything excellent. Everything was very smooth and I didn't feel pressured at all to get my windows fixed. They worked very well on financing. They did our install in one day and was very clean about it. Everyone did a very good job in our project for our windows."

"Kyler does really great work, he installed an high quality Andersen sliding glass door that we bought from Home Depot. Too complicated for us to install. He came 2 days after we called him and had it knocked out in a few hours. Totally turnkey, he even hauled away the old door and all the packaging. My contractor was very impressed with the quality of the install, all the details were done correctly. Very happy, he gave us a good price too."

"Dustin C. @ DaBella Boise helped us choose the right windows for our application and personally monitored progress from order to completion. The finished product looks great, but the best part is instantly seeing and feeling the difference between modern tech vs. 40y old aluminum framed windows. No more drafts or condensation! Thanks DaBella!"

"Josh and his team are professional and efficient in replacing all the windows in my condo. Josh helped me get HOA approval (I'm new to the area) and took out the old (20+ years old) and replaced them while taking care not to make a mess and carefully protecting my plants and belongings. I would definitely recommend Home Run Exteriors."

"Nick and Tyler did a great job today understanding how the caulking and existing concrete work together, was thorough in their explanation of the process, was professional and cleaned up well. Thank you!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Smart glass doesn’t use a lot of electricity, and you can expect a standard window to add between $1 and $2 per year to your electric bills. Smart glass is proof that energy-efficient windows work. Although your smart windows may consume a little energy to operate, they can save enough energy to offset the costs. If you’re concerned about the minimal bump to your electricity consumption, you can opt for smart tint, which doesn’t require electricity to work.

All of the things you use to help you get clean can leave your shower door looking dirty. Water can leave mineral deposits as well as unsightly spots when drops of water dry on the glass. Soap and shampoo can cause build-up and residue that leaves a layer of soap scum in your shower, which then attracts dirt. Mold and mildew can also contribute to dirty shower doors; these fast-growing organisms thrive in areas with poor air circulation, damp conditions, and residue from things like soap and shampoo.

New glass costs anywhere from $3 to $100 per square foot. More specifically, tempered and insulated glass—a common option for sliding glass doors—costs between $10 and $14 per square foot.

The cost of adding glass to your kitchen cabinet doors depends on the number of cabinets, type of glass, and labor costs. Glass typically costs between $5 to $20 per sheet and you can expect to purchase complementary hardware materials for $2 to $50 each. If you’re hiring a cabinet professional to install glass in your cabinet doors, ask them for a specific estimate before hiring.

Hard water stains are caused by hard water. Hard water contains a lot of minerals, like calcium and magnesium. When water on your glass surfaces dries out, the minerals stay behind and stick to the glass. This results in a residue that looks like white cloudy or streaky spots. Call a pro to install a water softener to banish hard water problems.
