Customers say: Quality work

"14 months ago he painted the exterior of the house. He also replaced the wood on the deck with treks. He also tore out the old driveway and extended it. He is very superior in his work and loves the work he does. He is very smart and this guy knows what he is doing. He also in the last month removed the old paint from the porch and re-stained it. It is so beautiful and it is in the exact color I wanted it. He is such a thorough person and gives reasonable prices."

"Five stars are not enough for Clancey Comisky and his crew. They crafted a new (insulated, powered) garage, over 200 of custom fencing and challenging concrete (driveway) work on a sloping lot. Amazing results! Love their attention to detail. Clancey is a true professional - Always thinking ahead and delivering the finest results. I feel lucky to have found Comiskey Constrution."

"Orlando is the best - I wanted the work done in a tight time period and he made sure that his guys were there into the early evening - they did a great job, were very personable and experienced. I couldn't be happier with Rock Solid Masonry - I will use them again for an upcoming project."

"They were very quick to come and give a quote and started the job within a week. Very easy to work with, did a great job for a great price. There was a lot of finessing to get all the curves and levels to match up with what was already hardscaped in the yard, not to mention having to do their job around all the obstacles (plants, posts, pond, etc). Crew was awesome! It looks great, we are very happy and would definitely recommend this company."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

You can hire a landscaper to clean up your asphalt driveway or make minor repairs. You can also hire a company that specializes in asphalt driveway installation and repair. For cleaning jobs, most landscapers charge by the hour. Pressure washing a driveway costs between $100 to $350, but spot treatments and refilling damaged asphalt will cost extra.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

Oil can permanently stain a concrete driveway if it fully dries or sits for weeks without cleaning. Concrete is porous and absorbs the oil deeper over time. That’s why it’s best to remove an oil stain when it’s wet by applying an absorbent material, sweeping the area, applying dish soap, scrubbing, and then rinsing.

Yes. You can pressure wash pavers. However, you risk damaging them if you use too much pressure or get too close. Use a PSI of 1,500 and spray the water at least 24 inches away from the surface.

Annually, or more if located in humid or heavily polluted areas.
