"Called the Friday before the 4th of July holiday. Responded w/I 15min with an apt time same day. Arrived on-time. Attempted to fix existing disposal; unfixable. Replaced disposal quickly. Only issue was with cleanliness. Nothing horrible just not cleaned up to my standards."
"Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. Within a couple days from the initial phone call I already had an estimate and once i decided to go with them the installation was completed in one week. Its been a little over a month since they completed the install and everything is working smoothly.
I was amazed at just how great the customer service was. I just want to say thank you to the whole team who helped out, I really appreciate all your hard work. Now I know you guys are the ones to call for all future jobs."
"They did what was expected. They did not bill me any additional charges. They came out within a week after the service purchase. I would use them again. "
"I have no complains about this company and the people that worked at my house. At my house, Ezra sent 4 workers that came over and did all the paint work. They covered everything and made sure to move all the bulky items so they won?t get damaged. After they finished the work, they returned and arranged the items and then moved to the next area. Ezra assigned to my house his supervisor Charlie and he visited the house several times during the work time and made sure that we are happy and that there are no problems. Most of the paint work was a sponge paint with 2 colors but the common areas were with a special paint which took longer to do. I'm very happy with this company and I highly recommend them for any paint work. "
"Joshua was very professional and friendly. He came out and gave me an estimate that was a huge relief to me after having had a previous estimate of $3,500! He was on time and explained to me everything he was going to do. I will definitely use his services again. "
"After purchasing a Big Deal, I played phone tag trying to get an appointment. Then I let the coupon sit until it almost expired. I was able to get in touch and schedule an appointment immediately. The crew arrived on timely and was very polite and professional. While I have 2 a/c units, we chose to only do one (the second was not included on the coupon). I got a lot of good advice about a/c filters and our ductwork. I was told there was some mold (this is Houston) but that it could not be cleaned without a special appointment. All the dust/dirt was cleaned. We discussed the pros/cons of replacing the ductwork as it is old. This is something we have been in discussions with our regular a/c service provider about. When it came to the dryer vent - the reason is was so dirty is that there was a gaping hole. The service rep carefully explained what I needed to replace it, sent my son out to purchase it at Home Depot, then waited for his return to install the new one. I was happy that they asked about pets. I have a 17 year old dog who still likes to escape and everyone was mindful of her silently slipping towards the open front door. The service went well. "
"They take money on muy account for my home warranty service, and they are very responsive, and very reliable. They send Repair companies to my house for repairs and services."

Most home boilers will need an expansion tank. That’s because these boilers are closed-loop systems, where the water is trapped. An expansion tank is needed when the boiler heats the water and it expands, allowing air to condense in the tank to make room for the water. Other types of boilers don’t use an expansion tank, such as traditional steam boilers, but these aren’t as common. And hot water tanks may be able to use a pressure release valve instead. When in doubt, call in a pro to take a look.
The absence of heating or hot water, unusual noises like banging or gurgling, and visible water leakage are key signs. Abnormal boiler pressure, flame irregularities (for gas boilers), or pilot light issues may also signal trouble. Frequent cycling, soot or staining, and unusual odors, particularly gas-like smells, should not be ignored. Modern boilers often display error codes or lockout mode upon detecting issues. Uneven heating across radiators and rising energy bills without increased usage can further point to problems. Prompt attention to these signs is essential to prevent further damage and ensure safety.
In general, it’s a good idea to bleed air from your heaters at the start of every cold season, before you move your boiler system back into active mode. Early fall is a common time for this task. However, some heating systems don’t need much manual bleeding because of automatic bleed vents and other components.
DIY troubleshooting is possible for minor issues like bleeding radiators or resetting the system, but professionals should handle complex repairs to ensure safety and efficiency.
The primary differences between a heat pump and a boiler are their function and how they produce heat. A heat pump is a versatile system that provides both heating and cooling by moving ambient air and altering its temperature. In contrast, a boiler is solely a heating system, often working with a furnace or AC unit as part of a larger HVAC system. In terms of heat production, a heat pump generates heat more slowly and at a lower temperature, requiring a large convector for distribution. A boiler, however, produces a large amount of high-temperature heat that it emits through smaller radiators.
