"Called the Friday before the 4th of July holiday. Responded w/I 15min with an apt time same day. Arrived on-time. Attempted to fix existing disposal; unfixable. Replaced disposal quickly. Only issue was with cleanliness. Nothing horrible just not cleaned up to my standards."
"Finally an honest Solar company!! I went through several companies trying to get quotes for one of my properties, either they were ridiculously expensive or they didn't return my calls. A friend of mine referred me to Mega Sun and I have to say I am very pleased. Within a couple days from the initial phone call I already had an estimate and once i decided to go with them the installation was completed in one week. Its been a little over a month since they completed the install and everything is working smoothly.
I was amazed at just how great the customer service was. I just want to say thank you to the whole team who helped out, I really appreciate all your hard work. Now I know you guys are the ones to call for all future jobs."
"After purchasing the Big Deal, the provider contacted us promptly and was helpful in explaining the service. They explained that an additional area we wanted to clean would cost a reasonable amount more, on top of the Big Deal, which seemed fair. They arrived on time. The wood was turning green before the service, but looked perfectly clean and new after the service. Our only concern was that one thin wooden banister was nearly broken following the treatment, which we understand can be common with power washing. "
"Great service and honest people to work with! Charlie was able to give me a good estimate for repairing my concrete at my back yard. Although it was not a big project, Charlie agreed to do it and he sent to my house 2 guys that took out the old concrete and to do a new one with a nice design. The workers worked for 3 days in a row and they made sure to do their work without interfear us. At the end they made sure to clean and to ask our permission that everything is good. "
"We have a rental in Lancaster, and the tenant called to say that one sprinkler zone had been running for about 2½ hours. I tried to talk them through looking for the valve, but it wasn't successful. I called Josh based on the stellar reviews here, and got his voicemail. The ONLY negative thing I'll say about him is that if I hadn't read the reviews, I wouldn't have felt confident based on his outgoing message. When he called back (within 10 minutes, by the way) those less-than-confident feelings were completely assuaged. He just happened to be very close to our property, and said he'd stop there on his way to his next job. He was there in 5 minutes. He shut the valve off, and called to tell me that it was a bad solenoid, and also another valve was leaking. I told him that I knew he had another job to go to, and that I had a regular gardener who could make the repairs on his next trip. I thanked him for the speedy trip, and asked him how he'd like to settle up, i.e. credit card, check etc. He said, "If your gardener can do the repairs, then don't worry about it, you don't have to pay me, I was right here." #1, you know I'm sending him money. #2, you know he's now our lifetime source for both our rental properties in Lancaster. Thanks, Josh. We'll be calling you!"
"When you need help with a broken machine CHW is who you can trust to get the job done. And should they not be able to fix the machine they will replace it. I've been with them for many years. They've not failed me as of this writing and they won't"
"After purchasing a Big Deal, I played phone tag trying to get an appointment. Then I let the coupon sit until it almost expired. I was able to get in touch and schedule an appointment immediately. The crew arrived on timely and was very polite and professional. While I have 2 a/c units, we chose to only do one (the second was not included on the coupon). I got a lot of good advice about a/c filters and our ductwork. I was told there was some mold (this is Houston) but that it could not be cleaned without a special appointment. All the dust/dirt was cleaned. We discussed the pros/cons of replacing the ductwork as it is old. This is something we have been in discussions with our regular a/c service provider about. When it came to the dryer vent - the reason is was so dirty is that there was a gaping hole. The service rep carefully explained what I needed to replace it, sent my son out to purchase it at Home Depot, then waited for his return to install the new one. I was happy that they asked about pets. I have a 17 year old dog who still likes to escape and everyone was mindful of her silently slipping towards the open front door. The service went well. "
"Trade masters was called out to provide the repair service. Phillip was the service provider. He is always professional and on time providing quality service."

In most cases, you should hire a professional to carry out services on your HVAC system, as the components are complicated, expensive, and potentially dangerous to work with. However, there are a few things you can do on your own to keep your HVAC system in good condition, including changing your filters every three months, keeping the area around your outdoor condenser clear of debris and plant growth, making sure your or intakes aren’t blocked, and keeping an eye out for increased energy bills, strange noises, and unusual odors related to your equipment.
A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.
A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.
Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.
Boilers are equipped with multiple safety features to ensure safe operation. These include pressure relief valves to prevent overpressure, temperature high-limit switches to avoid overheating, and flame failure safety devices in gas boilers to cut off the gas supply if the flame goes out unexpectedly. Low water cutoffs prevent operation with insufficient water levels, and pressure gauges help monitor pressure levels. Ventilation and flue systems prevent the buildup of harmful gasses. Boilers often feature error code systems for automatic shutdown during malfunctions and gas leak detection for safety. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure these safety features function correctly.
The absence of heating or hot water, unusual noises like banging or gurgling, and visible water leakage are key signs. Abnormal boiler pressure, flame irregularities (for gas boilers), or pilot light issues may also signal trouble. Frequent cycling, soot or staining, and unusual odors, particularly gas-like smells, should not be ignored. Modern boilers often display error codes or lockout mode upon detecting issues. Uneven heating across radiators and rising energy bills without increased usage can further point to problems. Prompt attention to these signs is essential to prevent further damage and ensure safety.
Safety concerns with propane boilers include proper venting to prevent carbon monoxide buildup, secure gas line connections, and regular inspection of safety controls. Professional boiler installation and annual maintenance are essential to minimize risks. Having a carbon monoxide detector installed in your home is essential for early detection of any leaks or ventilation issues.
