I understood that it was a patch job. The crew did a sloppy job, I was left with a 3/4 inch lip on the top end one board that is a MORE dangerous tripping hazard than the holes., and runs 6 1/2 feet--(at least you could SEE the holes). The other top board that runs the the rest of the length of the deck is also a tripping hazard. (about 1/4 of an inch higher on the edge). He came back and fixed it, so I am satisfied."

"HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE! They came out, stated my installed tankless system needing repiping didn’t have a recirculating pump built in & recommended I get one. They quoted $99/hour for labor & parts are separate. Stated there were no options for an external pump (not on market) & wanted me to purchase their system with one built in requiring to uninstall NEW system & install their system (thousands more) & stated it would require 2 men for 8 hours of work & appointment was booked. After researching, there are both universal recirculating pumps for tankless systems & the brand I had made an external pump specifically for the system I bought. When I told them this & that I would only need to have the system already in place properly pipped with external pump installed, they became hateful from that point on & demanded I had a non-working outlet next to system fixed before they would do any work (didn’t have this demand when I booked appointment with their system). I had already fixed the outlet but the lady who answers the phone repeatedly stated no work would be done until outlet fixed, even after I told her I heard her the first 5 times & would ensure it was done, she continued demanding every communication in a hateful tone, multiple times each communication. Was told I would get a new bid with their tankless system removed & labor hours adjusted, it took a week to get it & just 2 days before the appointment. I was shocked to see the bid was still high ($1300) since the system was already installed but only needed repiping & recirculating pump installed. I sent an email, I only requested to know how many hours they expected to need that day, she responded by telling me the appointment was cancelled & I should find another plumber. They cancelled 2 days before because I dare ask how many hours were needed on a $1300 estimate. Not only did they not know of universal recirculating pumps for tankless systems, or lied to sell me their system, but they wanted 11-12 hours of work (estimate not detailed so I estimated $100-200 for some parts) to repipe an already installed system & install a external pump. Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

There are a few reasons your snake won’t go down the floor drain. One common reason is a large obstruction in the drain that is causing a blockage. You can remove any debris you see in the drain before trying to snake it. In addition, the snake might not be long enough to reach the clog, or it might be the wrong diameter. 

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.

Regardless of the drain cleaner type you choose to use, they all work through chemical reactions that create heat. Thanks to the heat, the clogged hair begins to dissolve until it is able to be flushed away. To avoid clogs in your drain due to hair, use hair catchers and empty them out after every shower.

A small amount of diluted bleach is okay to pour down a garbage disposal. As part of your weekly garbage disposal maintenance, use 1 teaspoon of bleach with your concoction of ice cubes and lemon peels. Turn on the disposal and run the water until the blades chop up the ice cubes.
