"James was exceptionally professional and polite and did an outstanding job on the rails that he installed in my house with both the backyard and the front. He’s a perfectionist and I will hire him and re-hire him over and over and recommend him over and over. Very humble and a very soulful human being. I give him 10 stars not five. Thank you, James for the wonderful professional job. :)"

"Justo is the best!!! He came to my house and welded a piece of metal that I needed for my hydraulic log splitter; he did a wonderful job with a perfect bead on all sides. I am more than satisfied with the work he did he did; a wonderful job!!! Not only that but he also educated me on what needed to be done and what was being done. He is extremely polite he was on time and his prices were very fair. I would not hesitate to hire him again. If you need a good professional welder and somebody that shows up on time and is very graceful please hire him he will do a good job for you as he did for me... I can verify that for sure."

"We had the pleasure of working with Ismael in the fall of 2021. He replaced around 20 rusted out footings on our balcony railings, and also removed roughly 20 bars with decorative elements and replaced them with straight bars. He did the entire job in one day, and from start to finish, from the estimate through to the end, he was a joy to work with, and did an excellent job. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and highly recommend Ismeal for any metal welding job!"

Welding questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

It will likely take an experienced pro less than an hour to install a ground rod, which is another reason why letting them handle the job is such a good idea. Safety concerns aside, it would likely take you much longer to install a ground rod if you decided to take this one as a DIY job.

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

There are a few things you can ask welders before you hire them to get an idea of their experience and ability levels:

  • Are you licensed and certified?

  • How long have you been in the welding business?

  • Do you commonly do the type of welding I need?

  • Do you offer any kind of warranty for your work?

  • Do you charge by the hour or by the project?

  • How long do you expect my welding project to take?

  • What steps do you take to minimize errors in your work?
