"I hired Ibarra Landscape to clean up my yard that was overrun by weeds. It's hard to describe how bad it was. Carlos brought his crew out. They managed to eliminate the weeds without destroying the plants underneath. I was very happy with their performance and have hired them for routine maintenance. I definitely recommend this business."

"Victor Barroso reached out to me within 15 minutes of requesting an estimate for cleanup services. Victor set up a same day estimate within a hour of our contact. When he arrived he was very cordial and professional. I requested removal of overhang trees, and vines coming from my neighbors yard into mine, approx 20 feet along the fence line and approx 5 feet wide, also cleanup of my pond area with overgrown weeds, plants and ice plant over growth. Victor was very professional and made me feel vary comfortable. Additional suggestions for clean up were made, at no additional cost. His workers came out the next morning to do the job. His workers were professional and very efficient. I was extremely satisfied with the results and very happy. This was the first time I have had a large job of this kind done. Very happy with results. Would hire Barroso Landscaping again without question."

"It was awesome, way beyond our expectations! Ramon did an excellent job, trimmed, weed whacked, mowed, raked, blew off leaves and did a weed spray around the yard perimeter! Truly amazing!"

Weed Services questions, answered by experts

There are tools known as “sprinkler donuts” that are specially designed to aid in cutting the grass around your sprinkler heads by protecting them from your mower or weed whacker. You can also use a pair of hand shears to do the job manually if you’re willing to get a little dirty.

If possible, you should prioritize pulling weeds up by hand. However, be sure not to use your bare hands, as many weeds are sharp or otherwise irritating when they come in contact with skin. Always don thick, protective gardening gloves to protect your hands when you pull up weeds.

If you spray a DIY vinegar solution that contains high salt, it can disrupt the soil's structure and make it difficult for plants to grow. That's why it's vital to avoid spraying vinegar solution on areas where you are trying to grow plants and flowers. When using a mix of vinegar and soap, some say you can plant a few days after the vinegar dries.

Water the lawn thoroughly, apply fertilizer, and overseed if necessary to promote healthy growth.

You should add 1 to 4 inches of mulch, depending on your garden type and needs. Keep in mind that no amount of mulch can completely prevent weeds, but a heavier coverage (closer to 4 inches) can suppress weeds enough that you are only seeing them sprout every few weeks. Finer mulch prevents weeds more effectively than large mulch, so if you’re using mulched leaves or shredded bark, 1 to 2 inches will likely suffice, while 3 to 4 inches is best for larger mulch, like bark chips or straw.
