Small jobs welcome

"Juan Sandoval does excellent work! Had much needed new sod and sprinkler systems installed a couple years ago, and looked to Juan for the extensive backyard remodel. He did such a phenomenal job (a 360-degree transformation!) that it is hard to believe that this is our new backyard. We love it! This project consisted of complete demolition, 2 stucco walls, cement, pavers, 2 planters, a new sod and sprinkler system, and 2 gates. He did not disappoint he was reliable, efficient, professional, and had good communication; we could not be more pleased with the quality of his work! If you are thinking about hiring someone to do your lawn, sprinklers, concrete, or backyard, get in touch with Juan Sandoval highly recommended!"

"I would highly recommend working with Mark from Costa Turf. He was very professional and friendly from the initial contact to the completion of the project. He showed up with several turf samples for us to choose from, and provided us with an estimate for each sample within 24 hrs. Once we decided to hire them, the job was scheduled within a timely manner. Moises and his crew arrived on time, and completed the job in one day. I am 100% satisfied with the customer service that was provided, as well as, the quality of their work."

"Chase was great to work with. He came out quoted the job and it started and finished on time. The workers were professional and cleaned up every evening before leaving for the day. The grass looks amazing and we have gotten many positive comments. I would definitely use them again and have recommended them several times already for other jobs."

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Loam (soil composed of sand, silt, and clay) costs about $17 per cubic yard. Standard screened topsoil costs about $20 per cubic yard. The type of topsoil you need depends on your landscaping plans.

These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
