"Ryan Scott approached my problem with common sense and methodically set about to repair a non-functional kitchen exhaust fan. He quickly located the problem as the motor's starting capacitor through testing the resistance of the capacitor. He located a replacement. Then fixed another problem with the fan cage rattling against the sheet metal housing. I think he did a great job at a modest price. That's why I have his performance 5 stars. I would definitely hire him in the future for other repairs and recommend him to others."

Growing up in an automotive restoration shop while helping rebuild homes for my uncle, a property developer, taught me the value of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and doing things the right way. I've developed a passion for restoring and improving just about anything, always going above and beyond to ensure every project is completed with the same care and pride as if it were my own. My goal is simple: deliver quality work that's built to last.

My services include furniture assembly like IKEA, TV mounting, picture and mirror hanging, curtain rods and blinds, shelves and storage systems, caulking, minor drywall patching, fixture replacements, and smart home device installs. I also offer light electrical tasks where permitted, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, plus low-voltage wiring and cable management where allowed. Depending on the quality of the leather, this type of upholstery can last anywhere from 5 to 20 years. The more time you invest in the care and protection of the leather, the longer your leather furniture is likely to last.

There are a few reasons that a drawer won't come out. Most of the time, there's an obstruction of some sort preventing the drawer from acting normally. The key to figuring out the problem is investigation and patience.

If possible, open the drawer as far as it will go and shine a flashlight inside to see if something in the drawer is hitting the cabinet frame. Or, remove a drawer above or below the offending one and use the flashlight to investigate the drawer slides. Discovering the cause will likely provide the necessary information to develop a solution.

Furniture repair costs around $200 on average, and most project costs fall between $100 and $500. The price you can expect to pay will depend on the type of furniture you’re repairing, the extent of the damage, and the size and age of the piece. Reupholstering and couch frame repair are the most expensive, sometimes costing $1,000, while fixes like repairing a scratch or replacing a spring in a couch or armchair will usually cost under $100. Older furniture requires more care and will typically cost more to repair.

Use appropriate thickness materials—3/4-inch sides for heavy loads, proper joinery techniques, and quality hardware rated for your intended weight. Avoid overloading drawers beyond their design capacity, and periodically check and tighten any loose fasteners.

Yes, professionals can match existing finishes and exteriors by using specific materials to ensure a seamless repair that integrates with the rest of the piece or set.
