Armes Electric personnel arrived on time and completed the installation of the 240 volt circuit breaker, line and outlet in an efficient and professional manner. The cost was reasonable and actually less than their ballpark estimate. I would definitely recommend and use Armes Electric again.

+ 1 moreI've used Armes Electric several times over the years, and I'm always happy with every aspect of the quality of work they do. Today I had an attic fan installed, including a kill switch added to the existing hallway light switch to allow us to prevent the thermostat controlled attic fan from coming on while we are away on vacation. I scheduled the an installation for 8:30 am, and the installers arrived right on time. They discussed the installation options, including the advantages of installing a kill switch, which I thought was a great idea so I had that installed as well. They laid out drop cloths to protect the floor in the work area and made sure everything was clean after the work was complete. The removal of the single switch wall box and replacement with a new 2 switch unit looks absolutely clean. Total time to finish the installation in my single level house took just about 1 hour.

+ 0 moreWe hired Armes Electric to install a ceiling fan for my mother. They were very prompt. They were very courteous. My mother feels that they did a very good job. However, I feel that they overcharged for the job. My mother was charged $250 for the installation of the ceiling fan, plus an additional $25 for the installation of a remote control for the fan. First, per their Angie?s List add ?$25 OFF JOBS OVER $250, $100 JOBS OVER $1000. (MUST MENTION AD TO RECEIVE DISCOUNT)? and I did mention the ad when I call to make the appointment. Second, per their Angie?s List add ?Senior Discount: $25?, even if I did not mention the ad my 80+ year old mother did not receive the Senior Discount. Finally, per their website ?PULL CHAIN OR REMOTE FAN INSTALLATION .....$250.00?, so I do not understand the additional $25 for the installation of the remote control. Therefore, it seems to me that my mother was overcharged $25?, or maybe $50?, or even $75?

Description of Work: I called Armes Electric for an estimate to install an outlet on a new kitchen cabinet. I spoke with owner, Pete, and he asked for details of the project in order to understand the scope of work to be done. I explained that my biggest concern was not the installation itself, but rather if the location of the outlet was per code. If I had to relocate the outlet it would certainly be a costly project. Pete completely understood my situation and simply asked me to describe the proposed location. After I explained where the outlet was to be placed, he advised me that the location was per code and went on to explain the conditions that should be met to unsure that the installation is performed safely. Pete gave me the information I needed - over the phone - and answered all the concerns I had with this project. He didn't try to sell me anything or try to give me a general estimate over the phone about the potential cost for the work to be done. He said he would still be happy to come to me home and give me an accurate estimate. I was very impressed with his willingness to provide me with information over the phone which saved time and, potentially a great deal of money. If I ever have any future electrical related projects, I will certainly call Pete at Armes Electric to provide a fair and detailed estimate. Thanks Pete!

+ 1 moreAt the last minute we decided to install overhead lighting in three rooms of our new home. We needed the job done ASAP before our painters came in, and Pete couldn't have been fast enough. He met me for an estimate and he had a couple of his guys come out to start working that same afternoon. They completed all the work in a day and a half with plenty of time for the painters to patch and start on their job. We will definately keep Pete and the Armes Electric team in mind for all of our future electrical needs.

+ -1 moreIf you have electrical needs hire these guys. Marcus and Steve were outstanding. They not only solved the problem with the oven. They found a junction box that was not up to code and had melted in the wall because of improper old wiring that was a major fire hazard. They spent 4 hours and ran new wire and replaced everything that was needed to bring it up to code. These guys are great and go above and beyond. I would highly recommend Arms for all of your electrical needs. We will be using them again!

He told me to reset all the breakers and then try to rest the GFCI. Voila! That was all it needed. Thank you Pete, I will call, and recommend you, for future electrical service.

Danny and Juan were polite and thorough, putting down coverings to protect our wood floors, plastic sheeting to protect the kitchen cabinets, and cleaning up afterward. They brought a choice of two different fixtures for our consideration. The new lights are bright, and have dramatically improved our dark, "dungeon" kitchen, and patio. I would not hesitate to use them again for future projects.
Description of Work: Replaced 7 internal (kitchen) and 2 external (patio) recessed CFL lights with new high output LED lights; installed 2 dimmers for new LEDs; added one outlet in closet.

I was told that it might be the next day before someone could get to our house, but the electrician was able to call in the afternoon and he quickly went to work to find the problem. While he was tracing the circuit another Armes electrician arrived to help and they had the circuit fixed within about an hour. I was extremely please with the people I spoke with to schedule the call, the professionalism and responsiveness of the electricians and the cost was absolutely reasonable. I highly recommend Armes Electric.

My complaints with them is that they chose to walk from the outdoors across the living room carpet most the time. Three non-living room carpet paths were available to them 1. garage-to-patio 2. front door-kitchen-patio 3.around-the-building outdoor path 4. didn't close the breaker panel door fully when finished. A+ on their technical skills, C- on their social skills.

I highly recommend them for any electrical work. They are responsive, professional, and do high quality work. They removed my old residential panel and installed the new one in one day. The work was performed in coordination with SDGE and the City of Laguna Hills; no simple task. My power was only off for 5 hours. The owner ran to the supplier to replace missing panel parts and then jumped in to help. I wouldn't consider anyone else for my next electrical work.

Installed lights using existing switches in rooms. They were able to install recessed lighting in the dining room without cutting extra holes to run power cables. The workers asked before installing lights to make sure their positioning was okay. This is the second time I have used Armes and would call them again.
Description of Work: Installed ceiling lights in bedrooms to include ceiling fan in master bedroom; installed lights in dining room. Replace GFI in bathroom.
