He was early, started right away and even though it probably took longer then he expected, finished in an extremely timely manner. He could have replaced the circuit breaker and charged me a whole lot more money but he just replaced the outlets that were broken. The cable line was a lot harder because he had to go into the attic but he did a fantastic job and I would hire him again in a minute.

We were having some problems with our (hardwired) smoke detectors - for some odd reason, whenever we would turn on our A/C, the alarms would go off. I spoke with Peter over the phone, and he told me he had no clue, but would send his guys over to check it out. The first time his guys came, they looked at the circuit breaker, and looked at the wiring of 1 of the 8 smoke detectors. They could not find anything. I paid them $135 (150 for 1st hour with 10% 1st time discount). The problem continued. Peter then sent another team a few days later, and they theorized that when the temperature got cold, the wires would contract and disconnect from each other, causing the alarm to go off. He disconnected one of the smoke detectors which seemed most suspicious as this one was placed directly over a vent. He stayed for about an hour, but did not charge us anything - this is because the 1st team came the day before and did not resolve the issue. Since our smoke detectors were 14 years old, he recommended we change all of them. However, he did not push the issue. He told me that if they were to supply their own smoke detectors, they would charge us about $40 a piece. So he recommended I go to Lowe's and purchase my own for cheaper. I purchased the smoke detectors for about $11 each at Lowe's, and he came back the next day and installed all 8 of them. It was about an hour, so I paid $150. The techs were always punctual, professional, clean, knowledgeable and conscientious. I liked the fact that they did not push me to change my smoke detectors, and did not push me to purchase the smoke detectors from them. When I spoke to Peter, he told me he was not out to make a few bucks on me, but wanted to make sure that I remain his customer for the future. That I will be, and I will always recommend his company to everyone I know.

Two electricians from ARMES Electric came to our house on time and proceeded to lay protective coverings over furniture and carpets. They both worked diligently to install all the items defined on our quote. All the work took approximately 4 - 5 hours. The electrical outlet in the dining room was not being installed in the location that I had previously requested during the estimate process [miscommunication]. After they cut the hole, I told them that the location would not allow me to place our dining room hutch fully against the wall since the outlet was behind the heavy hutch and the plug from the cord that lit the hutch would stick out from the wall. The electrician, Jason, suggested that a recessed outlet could be placed in the wall and the problem (with the plug sticking out) would be resolved. I placed an extension cord from the outlet to the edge of the hutch for powering Christmas lights during the holiday season. The hutch could now be placed right against the wall and I had power to both the hutch lights and Christmas lights when the season came around. The price for the work was exactly as quoted. I was not charged extra for the recessed receptacle. The work was skillfully done, everything works fine and looks great. The electricians were respectful and accomodating.

Excellent experience and will be using them for electrical work in future.

The two employees performing my work were punctual, polite, professional and finished work quickly. The price was competitive and even better was the discount coupon. The only negative was that it took 3 days to get a call back from the scheduler to confirm date for work.

This was not your typical electrical contracting job. I contacted several general contractors and was referred to electricians. Electricians would say they needed a general contractor for the stucco repair. This was one place that said they would do it all. I described what I wanted done over the phone and got a quote a few days later. There was some confusion on the day they started working, mostly on my part as I am used to having to be home for the workers but it turns out it this was not really necessary. They followed up with a phone call the next day to see how the job went. Very professional organization.

I called the main number and left a message for Pete, the owner, that I was interested in a quote. I did not hear back that same day so called the next and left another message. I heard back from Pete almost immediately and scheduled a date and time for him to look at the work I needed. Pete arrived promptly and was very professional. He looked at each item on my list, asked good questions on things I hadn't even thought of, and left knowing exactly what I wanted. He said he would email the quote that night, but I did not get it until a few days later, after having called to remind him. The price seemed fair, so I called Pete, asked a few questions, and scheduled the work for the next week. Izack and Juan were the guys on site. They called early in the morning to let me know their current job was running long and asked if they could come later. I appreciated the early notice. They ended up arriving right on time as the extra work from the morning job was cancelled. They went through the list with me, making sure they understood everything. Then they walked around the house to double-check. They found an attic space that they could crawl through to wire the ceiling fans, saving me time and money. They worked hard throughout the day, always checking with me if they had any questions. They made several suggestions on some items as well, which added a bit to the price, but I was glad they made the suggestions. They also did a few small extra things at no charge. Late in the afternoon, Pete sent another crew over to help finish the job, but even with 4 guys, they had to come back the next morning to complete everything. I liked the fact that Pete sent the extra help over. All in all, I am very happy with the work Pete's crew did. They protected everything, cleaned up after, and performed the work well. I've already talked with Pete about doing some extra work down the line.

One company could not locate the problem. The issue has not been addressed yet but the work was very good and I liked it. They did an excellent job. They were courteous and professional.

Pete gave a timely estimate and honored it. His crewed showed up on-time and executed flawlessly. The light fixtures were installed properly and they were careful about sealing the area where the fixture met with the bricks of the house. I'd certainly work with them again. I only wish they had applied the Angies List discount to my order.

Very smooth with professional service - negatives would be playing their radio while on the job - and debris removal - they cleaned up very well after the job - however waste was out in the recycle bin without bagging - additionally non-removal of the old fan - OVERALL - experience was first rate - I would use them again on any electrical job in the hose.

I called Armes on a Friday to request a free estimate. Pete (the owner) arrived on the following Monday to provide a free estimate. I was immediately impressed with Pete's friendliness, professionalism, honesty, creativity, and overall terrific attitude. The electrical panel was already full, so we had to look at ways of leveraging existing circuits. I also wanted to avoid anything that would require substantial drywall repair if possible. Pete came up with the idea of utilizing the unused dryer circuit (220V/30A), converting it into two 120V/20A circuits, and running the lines from the laundry room, through the garage, and up into the two bedrooms, thereby eliminating lengthy runs from the electrical panel to the bedroom, and also avoiding drywall repair. The assigned crew (Jason & Hugo) arrived very promptly on Tuesday ? both are courteous and professional. I showed them where I wanted the outlets in the bedrooms, the location of the dryer outlet in the laundry room, the approximate path through the garage and up into the bedrooms - they got to work right away. The work was performed as quoted, and in fact they went the extra mile to provide a really nice, clean conduit run in the garage. I?m very pleased with the work that was performed, as well as with the professional manner in which it was done (including clean up). I heartily recommend Armes Electric, and will be calling Pete for any future electrical needs that we have.

Our power was out on several circuits due and was inconvenient for us. I had tried to reset the breakers in our old panel and could not get it to work. I called the next AM. Although I did not expect such a quick response, Pete was able to get out and fix within a couple of hours this without charging for an emergency service call. Much appreciated. I did not even have to be home he handled it on the phone. Great response time and good communication.

Excellent. My service representatives, Jason and Justin, were friendly and work well together. They showed up on time, educated me, were detail oriented and worked efficiently and diligently. They went out of their way to go up in the attic to replace the fan support because they didn't think the existing one was safe. They took precautions to protect my property during the work, and cleaned up after the job. I would definately used Armes Electric again.

Showed up on time fixed our repair issues with failing light switches and fixtures and gave us options for replacing track lighting.

Pete Armes arrived on time for the estimate appointment. He was polite, knowledgeable, easy to talk with, and answered all my concerns about the job. I was unsure whether I needed a 100 amp panel or a 200 amp panel, and after I emailed him a detailed list of all my current electrical uses and those projected for the future, he assured me a 100 amp panel would be sufficient and would save me $700.00 off the cost of the 200 amp panel. He could easily have said I needed the larger panel, and I would not have known any different. Mr. Armes also told me that the Edison Company wires coming into the house needed to be replaced after the new panel was installed because they were the original wires from when the house was built in 1955 and had deteriorated over time. (The Edison Company does not charge to do this.) On the day the new panel was scheduled to be installed, two of Mr. Armes' employees arrived on time for the work. They were professional and polite, and addressed my concerns about the amount of time I would be without electricity while they were replacing the old panel. When they opened the wall where the old panel was located, it turned out that new framing was need for the new panel because it would not fit into the framing for the old panel, and the possibility that this might happen was fully disclosed ahead of time in the estimate. During the time when the power was off, they set up a portable generator for the items of my choice - such as the freezer and the TV - and I was without electricity for only as long as it took to switch to the generator and then back again when they were finished. The city building inspector arrived a day or two after the new panel was installed, and he commented that they had done "beautiful work" and passed the new panel with no corrections needed. I would highly recommend Armes Electric. The cost was extremely competitive, as the next best estimate I got was $1,000 more for the exact same thing, the work was professionally done, the company is a pleasure to work with, and the city inspector was pleased. What more could you ask for.

Two guys showed up on time and they even called me ahead of time to tell me that they were about fiteen minutes away. They were both very super nice..very respectful and they introduced themselves, I showed them the bathroom and they fixed everything in about 45 minutes. They cleaned up very well and did just a really amazing job. I would recommend these guys to anyone and will definitely use them again.

My report is based on the fact that Armes set up an appointment at my house for 10:30 a.m., and I planned my day's schedule accordingly. Armes never showed, never called. I had juggled a number of things to be available for the appointment. That is the epitome of un-professional behavior. They're out.

Workers showed up on time at exactly 8:30. Two young men. Very respectful and professional. They quickly got to work evaluated the task at hand and then throughout the process kept me in the loop about my options and made every attempt to limit cuts and dry wall damage while eliminating an outlet and moving a dimmer light swith around a corner. They worked very efficiently and did a stellar job. They completely moved back and cleaned up any minor mess that was created. From arrival to departure the call lasted about 90 minutes which was in line with what I was quoted. I couldn't have been happier and they exceeded my expectations. Their visit was short because of the quick nature of the call but the electrician stayed to test all of the other linked circuits in the house, serviced the panel and repaired a loose sensor on our exterior flood lights. The Armes representative could have pushed a button on the plug and left but chose instead to provide a value in excess of the charge. I work from home and today their truck was in the area and stopped to follow up. No solicitation of further work, just a quick personal good will stop. Who does that anymore? I'll never call anyone else.

It went very well. He seemed professional. He arrived on time. I was impressed with his demeanor, his professional. The bid seemed a little bit on the high side but based on my interaction with him I will likely be hiring him for that.

Two nice chaps showed up to begin the patio cover lighting installation right on time. They were friendly and very professional. Later in the morning, two more fellows showed up to install the recessed lighting in the beam. Again, these guys were super- friendly and very pleasant to work with. After the job was done, the owner of the company (Pete) called and asked us to be sure to turn on the new lights after dark, check everything out, and make sure it was all done to our absolute satisfaction. It was. We recommend this company very highly, and will definitely be using them in the future.

Mark and Danny did an excellent job. They went the extra mile by lifting the fountain's heavy concrete bowls. I would highly recommend them and their services.

They were responsive and very professional. Came out within 4 hours of when I called them.

Pete Armes was extremely helpful. His initial estimate was in fact the actual cost and was competitive. The installation had a challenge due to the nature of the previous installation. However, even though his team had to come out 3 times, the price did not increase. They were professional, explained the work prior to starting and made suggestions that turned out to be just what was needed. They were neat, respectful of our new carpet and cleaned up well when finished. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
