Top notch work and good communication. Kris was straightforward about the possible solutions to my landscape drainage issues, and the quote was fair. The crew was hard working and efficient in spite of some challenges with mud and tree roots. I have another project that I'll be consulting them on soon.

Make sure you discuss in detail the work and costs. The quality of work was good but had issues with small incidental items that arose during work, i.e. Sprinklers, which said they would move and price was "all inclusive" of small details. I spent half day working and $50 buying parts to take care of these small all inclusive details. Also, no diagram of cement work done, you need to supervise this aspect of work. I felt that I was taken advantage of. Items I thought covered were not covered. I may not have chosen this contractor once I had total price when work completed up front. They say their minimum job is $3000 and make you feel you are lucky for them to do your "small" job. I expected price decrease for my work and expenses, but they say they should have charged me more. They should have spent time bidding job better. I felt like I got low bid for them to get work, and price increased if any small item arose. I also have to touch up my freshly painted house with cement splattered on walls in spots. Also clean up worker lunch trash in yard at end of each day. Finished work was good, but getting there took effort and supervision on my part. Cement and drain locations would have been formed wrong or placed wrong if I didn't check on progress each phase.

Kris, Jeremy(owners), Jaime(supervisor)and crew went ABOVE and BEYOND!! We had literally been looking for hard/landscapers for months! These guys were totally worth the wait. Our yard looks AMAZING!! Very cooperative, timely, never ever got the feeling that short-cuts were being taken, or that one is being played, as is often the case when dealing with contractors. If they are booked on another job, wait until they can get to you. They will truly be worth it!

5 Stars. Extremely happy with Kris and Jeremy! We had a 400' by 16' driveway installed with very steep grades. They removed our asphalt driveway, graded, compacted and installed with rebar. The pour included concrete anchors down our steepest points. We had curbing installed on the side of the driveway to help with the storm water drainage. Very professional, cleaned up afterward. Most importantly, Jeremy and Kris listened to all of my concerns. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Great job. Timely contact and scheduled right away. Only a couple delays due to appointments and other jobs..nothing over a day. Nice custom professional work. Will likely use them again soon on other projects.

These guys are AWESOME!! Chris & Jeremy were EXTREMELY professional and always on time. If every contractor were as good as American Patios, Inc there would be no need for home advisor! Price was the best quote I got and the workmanship was exceptional. We will use them for everything and recommend them to everyone.

The job done was not for a driveway, but the construction of a 80 ft long retaining wall needed to hold back soil and water from a slope on my property adjacent to the sidewalk. The work included removing large amounts of dirt, installing a french drain, and creating a gravel foundation. Then large stacking cement blocks were used to build the 3-4 ft. wall. The bid seemed reasonable considering the manpower and materials needed. The contractor stuck to his original bid even though the job needed more blocks than he anticipated. He also was on time, friendly and well informed. He even removed several stumps on my property, trimmed some trees and did a general yard cleanup all of which he included for his original agreed upon fee. I was very pleased with how the job was done. Chris Abbott was able to complete the work more than a month before the El Nino rains arrived here in Oceanside. I plan to hire his team of workers again.

Kris and Jeremy are great guys to work with. I hired them to pour two new patios, two walkways, front porch, and replace our driveway. They gave me great pricing (far cheaper than my GC quoted) and their work was top notch. I also hired them to install drainage and rain gutters. They delivered on everything they said they would do. They made the entire process easy and even made modifications to the original scope without hassle or nickel and diming me for small changes. I would hire this company again in a heart beat, and have already referred family and friends to them. I highly recommend this company.

They finished the inital job on the correct date, but failed to do a few of the last details on time. They did not contact me when they encountered mechanical problems with their equipment and could not finish the last details on time.

LOOK NO FURTHER THAN API! We just completed a major project (3 months) with API, and they are the best contractor I have ever worked with. The owner, Jeremy, is very hands on and made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. He's also very responsive (We talked over phone/email almost every day while our project was going on). He would even call me with suggestions on how to save $$ on some parts of the project that I was doing myself (I was blown away he would go to this much trouble to make sure I was happy). Their prices are fair, they are honest, and their work is top notch. Don't bother with other quotes, hire API!
