"No Limit was amazing! Our carpets are clean and no longer crispy from the poor cleaning job done by a sub-par company before. Todd was very friendly & efficient, in and out quickly. My carpet feels clean and it was dry in no time. I feel confident in letting our grandbabies play on the carpet now. I was really impressed. I highly recommend them."

"The first carpet install had problems......carpet tight weave and pad was ultra thick. I took photos...they booked a day. I got a plush carpet with the plush pad. Amazing...."

"There were a few bumps with their equipment, resulting in completing the job in 2-days instead of 1; but K & S was very professional and the carpets look great.  I loved the special of touch of leaving a bouquet of flowers at the end of the job.  We will use K & S again.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

If you want your carpet to last as long as possible, then yes, you need to install carpet padding. Carpet padding creates a layer of protection between the back of your carpet and the floor beneath it, which decreases friction and reduces wear and tear. Aside from that, carpet padding also helps absorb noise and makes your carpet feel more comfortable underfoot.

No, thick carpet padding isn’t necessarily better than thinner padding. The appropriate padding thickness will depend on the type of carpet and the amount of foot traffic in the area.

For example, thick padding works well in low-traffic areas, like bedrooms, where you have soft and plush carpeting. However, thick carpet padding can damage low-pile carpet, which is used in the busiest parts of your home (like hallways and entryways). For that reason, it’s best to use thinner, heavier padding underneath carpet in high-traffic areas.

Most projects take 1-3 days, depending on space size and complexity.

When choosing whether to install carpet in your home, consider the pros and cons of this change:

Pros

  • More affordable than laminate flooring

  • Gives the room a warmer feel

  • Softer on feet

  • Wide variety of textures and colors

  • Hides dirt easily

  • Faster and easier to install

Cons

  • Shows wear and tear more quickly than laminate flooring

  • Shows stains

  • Soaks up liquids

  • May not work well in some areas, such as a bathroom

  • Less durable than laminate flooring

  • Susceptible to water damage, mold, and mildew

A 65-oz. carpet is good, and in many cases, it indicates a premium carpet. Most carpets for homes should fall in the range of 40 to 60 ounces for face weight. If a carpet has a 65-oz. face weight, it is likely more durable and long-lasting than a similar carpet with a lower face weight. Carpet face weight is just one factor in determining a carpet’s quality.
