"The business owner came out the same day we had contacted him to give an estimate and scheduled us in for the next day to clean all the windows in our house. I would highly recommend this company. Masheth did a completely thorough job and the windows were spotless when he left. We would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others who are looking for a fair price and quality work."

Customers say: True professional

"Overall, I would not call them back again, especially since the care they provided was subpar.  Not only were the windows incomplete, the debris splatters were all over the lower end of the house, after they left, I started moving back some things they shuffled around in the cleaning and found one of my porcelain pieces broken! The guys knew they broke it and just put the top back on and hoped I didn't notice until much later.  I also had to a secondary spray wash myself with my garden hose on the ground and walls to clean off the debris splatters they left.  I questioned why I called them out to do?  I called John a second time to discuss the porcelain and did not receive a call back.  In some ways, I felt cheated.  "

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you’re seeing many cobwebs inside your home, chances are you have a spider problem. Cobwebs are either abandoned spiderwebs or webs made by a member of the house spider species, but if you clean them with vacuuming or dusting, for example, and they reappear, then it points to an issue with spiders. Try using a natural DIY spider repellent or calling in a pest control service to help keep spiders out of your home.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

You can use dish soap mixed with warm water to clean just about any type of flooring, and while vinegar is a great addition to some floor cleaners, it’s not a good idea to use it on wood flooring or engineered wood flooring. Vinegar is very acidic, and it can gradually eat away at the protective finish on wood floors. If you’re cleaning laminate, tile, concrete, or vinyl floors, feel free to use vinegar and water in a 1-to-1 ratio with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, substitute the vinegar for olive oil.

If you prefer not to use a commercial cleaning product on your pink mold issue, or on other types of mold you are seeing in your bathroom, there are some natural mold killer products that you can use. You can try substances that you may already have in your home, like vinegar, tea tree oil, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice, and baking soda.

Prepare to leave your home for a long absence by making sure small appliances and electronic devices are unplugged. You should also shut valves to your sinks, dishwasher, and washing machine. Set your thermostat closer to outside temperatures or a minimum of 55 degrees Fahrenheit, stop your mail (or have someone pick it up), and put at least one light on a timer.
