I use them a lot. Their work is amazing, all the projects turn out perfect. They are really good at what they do.

  • Legacy Concrete Inc
We had a section of our walkway "mudjacked" at few years ago. That repair did not last, so we decided the best remedy would be to replace the walkway. We called Legacy and Cindy came out promptly to provide us with an estimate. The estimated was reasonable and included a solution to our drainage problem that had caused the sidewalk to "sink". The work was completed promptly and ahead of schedule. The crew was polite and competent. The Walkway turned out great! I will definitely use Legacy Concrete again!

  • Lacombes Curb and Concrete
Mr Lacombe was hired as a sub contractor by Brashears Contracting for our concrete work on our patio. We had to file (and won) a complaint with the CA State Licensing Board (, citation number 2 2020 1586 found under Brad Brashears) against Mr Brashears because of Mr Lacombe’s extremely sub par work (unable to file against Mr Lacombe directly per State regulations even though he did ALL of the work). Be extremely wary when hiring this person.

He is a very nice young man! He is accommodating and had some good ideas and suggestions. He was not expensive, his estimates were affordable but I had a few other problems arise and I couldn't' end up going with him. He did everything he could to give me what he thought I wanted, which I did, and I was disappointed that I wasn't able to have him perform the service. He brought me over a couple of different large samples. I told him about a restaurant who's floor I liked and he actually went to the restaurant and he was willing to make a sample of that floor for me as well. I do recommend that people talk to him before they decide on a concrete contractor! I have showed other people his samples and they liked them!

My experience with him was fine. He is a good guy. He looked at the job that I wanted done and we talked about it for quite some time. He called back a couple of days later with a quote for the work. I had no problems with him at all; I would have hired him except that his price was higher than I was willing to pay. He seemed like a good guy and I would probably call him again and ask for another estimate on another job, but this particular job I decided I did not want to spend that much money.

Always showed up bright and early as scheduled. Respectful and professional crew. Cleaned up after themselves every day and were always courteous to other workers on site. We are very particular about the finish work on our home and these guys FAR exceeded our expectations. Beautiful finish work and the colored, stamped approaches to our driveway are stunning. Their bid was lower than anyone else. I can't recommend them enough.

I was pleased with the speed of the work. It was also kept neat and under control. The workers were unabtrusive to our life during the process. They did not even use our facilities while they were here. All very nice people to work with.

I like the fact that they came to work on time and did exactly what they said they would do. They were a very good crew and they left the place better than they found it. Their pricing was reasonable and I will use them again in the future.

Bergstrom construction came out and initially did a bid. It took a few days before the bid came in. The cost was on point with the 2 other bids I received from other concrete contractors. I decided to go with Bergstrom due to their customer service and solution to the arbor post issue. Once I confirmed with the owner Bruce that I wished to proceed we set up a date to start. Unfortunately, a record heat wave hit Chico and Bruce stated he would not be able to pour concrete during the high temperatures. The following week I get a call on Sunday evening asking if they could start earlier than expected and come by the next morning. That wasn't a problem for me so I agreed. Monday morning they arrived around 9 am and began work. The guys that arrived worked cautiously around my landscaping and even moved a large section of gravel from an existing path to a new location (so I could use it elsewhere). After that was done, they remarked the patio area I wanted and used a bobcat to remove dirt and level the area. Then they formed the patio border and laid down a road base foundation and leveled that with the bobcat. Tuesday morning they came back out and tamped down the foundation with a plate compactor and laid the steel cage for the patio, removed the existing post to the arbor, and set the new sleeve for the arbor post. Friday was concrete pouring day. They arrived about an hour later than scheduled but got the patio poured and finished. In addition they made a concrete bench with the leftover concrete that they gave to us. Over the weekend, I ended up placing the new arbor post in the new sleeve and attaching back to the arbor due to the heat and the fact that I had shade sails that I wanted to put back up. Monday mid-day they returned to remove the forms and clean up the area around the patio. They left my yard clean and back the way it was prior to the job. Overall I was very satisfied with Bergstrom construction and would definitely hire them for any future job.

  • Al's Concrete
Great. We had gotten Al's Concrete from other contractors we worked with and trusted. They said that Al's Concrete was a family run and long time Chico family owned business. Tracy, one of the owners, came by within a day of calling to look at the job. He had a written estimate finished and delivered within two days. He allowed in the estimate for each aspect of the intended job. I had asked what the figure might be if we did our own take out. He was happy to give me both estimates in clear detail. I went with Al's Concrete doing the whole job. They came on March 2, 2010 and did the take out. It rained March 3rd. They came back on March 4th and poured the driveway. They fixed three sprinklers that had been damaged during the take out at no extra cost to us. They did a beautiful and professional job. They gave clear instructions on when we were allowed to get back on the driveway both walking and then with our vehicles. They left cones around the driveway, came back and checked on the work a couple of times and when it was set, removed the cones - seven days later. Great job start to finish.
