"Johnny, the company manager was fantastic. He explained everything and helped me get more than one project done. He phoned as soon as he had the bid, and then he called when he had it scheduled. I had the work done the following day. The workers arrived on time and they worked very fast. They cleaned up everything. They were very nice. I am extremely happy with the work they did and will gladly hire them again should another project arise."

"We hired Silverstone Landscaping at the beginning of summer to install Trek decking in our side/backyard. They were very efficient, followed installation procedures, and were very pleasant to work with. The most impressive is how organized they were, Silvia and his workers were on time daily and put in a solid days work. They also offered their opinions and ideas to make the deck’s appearance more appealing. We would continue to higher Silverstone Landscaping for all of our future outdoor needs."

"Very good experience. Jesus showed up on time looked at my tree project and gave me a quote. We shook hands and he arrive with his crew of 4 on time and completed the job in one day. Our 5 trees were very overgrown. He and his crew climbed, topped 2 trees and trimmed 3 others sometimes 25 feet in the air. He cut the larger limbs into firewood, chipped the rest and left the property cleaner than when he arrived. Would not hesitate recommending this firm. Richard M. Salinas, CA"

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
