"We hired McCormick to remodel our master bathroom, and the process couldn’t have been smoother. Khaled guided us through everything, and his team was skilled and respectful. They handled the job efficiently, stayed within budget, and kept our home tidy. Now, our bathroom feels like a relaxing oasis, with high-quality finishes and a modern touch we love. "I got excellent customer service and installation was included. Lari explained clearly about what the products are available and the quality of these products compared with other companies out there. They gave me a delivery date that was right on time. The shutter installer was very experienced with the installation and they were shipped and packaged with care. After seeing how beautiful they were in my home I ordered the remaining rooms in my home that still needed window coverings. I highly recommend this company and the shutters are made in the USA."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

A good U-factor for windows is 0.30 or lower, but they can range from 0.20 to 1.20. A general rule of thumb when it comes to the U-factor is that the lower, the better.

The cost of window installation depends on several factors, including the window type, size, and frame material. Labor rates, the need for custom sizing, and any required structural modifications will also influence the final price.

Yes, including the frame instead of just referring to the glass opening for window dimensions is the standard. However, some manufacturers may refer to the rough opening instead of the framed opening when listing sizes. Always confirm which measurement a manufacturer is using before ordering windows.

Storm windows have about the same life span as standard windows—between 20 and 30 years. Vinyl and wood storm windows last longer than aluminum, but they all fall within that life span range. Of course, how long your storm windows last will depend on how much severe weather they see. Direct impacts, in particular, can quickly reduce how long your storm windows last.

Garden windows can add value to your home and are an attractive feature for potential homebuyers. These windows add a custom look to your home and usable shelf space for homeowners with a green thumb. You’ll likely recoup your investment when it comes time to sell.
