"Excellent service. I have a custom screen door, almost five feet wide and have pets, so I wanted a heavier, "pet resistant" screen. Pablo showed up and replaced not only the screen, but also repaired the door rollers and two windows, one of which required a new frame. There's no such thing as a custom frame, almost all of the have to be built to fit. Pablo took care of all of that in under two hours. Great warranty and excellent service. Quality repairs. I would definitely recommend Cleaview Mobile Screens!"

"Pros: professional, friendly, exceptional service, high quality product, fast, attentive, knowledgeable, great communication, honest, and hard working. Cons: none David came to my property on May 2nd to provide me with a quote for window screens and window screen-frames. He was scheduled to arrive at 10am, which is the exact time he showed up. He did not hesitate to ask for a tour of the property to assess the amount of work involved. During this time, David kindly educated me on window screens and shared with me why he believed his product is far superior to many of the standard window screen-frames we see today. After his assessment and measurements, he provided me with a quote then and there. I was glad to see that Fast Screens provided me with a fair and reasonable quote. Unlike, competitors who provided me with unreasonable prices that did not correlate with window size/dimension. I agreed to accept his service without hesitation. David returned to my property on May 4th and installed the screens that he assembled. He gave my wife and I a tour and explained how to properly remove the spring-loaded screens if we wished to wash our windows in the future. I was astonished as to how well the frames looked and fit. Our new powder-coated white aluminum frames with black screens are fantastic. Aside from the product itself, I am glad to have done business with such a great individual. I highly recommend and would personally use this service again. Overall, my experience was great. There is no reason to look anywhere else. Fast Screens gets my seal of approval."

"Jose was on time, knowledgeable, experienced, and trustworthy. He re-screened all 16 windows quickly. Cleaned up and he was on his way. One screened slider now has “pet” screen. If you’re looking to re-screen, this is who you should hire. This isn’t a fluff review. I I have not been compensated in any way. Everyone knows that there are thousands of fake, friends and family ratings. Trust this local business."

"He was super friendly, very reliable. He was actually able to see me the same day which was great. I had a bunch of small jobs that needed to get done but most important was fixing the wheels on my dining room chairs. He did an excellent job and was super professional. I also hung some pictures and put together some odds and ends. I’ll definitely hire him again in the future."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

It is generally recommended to remove window screens for the winter, especially in climates with heavy snow, freezing rain, or frigid temperatures. Removing them helps prevent damage to the screen mesh and frames that can be caused by ice and moisture buildup between the screen and the window. Taking out the screens also allows more natural light and warmth into your home during shorter winter days and makes it easier to clean your windows thoroughly. In warmer climates where harsh weather is not a concern, the decision is more about personal preference; some homeowners prefer the clearer view, while others leave them in for convenience.

The average cost to repair a window is about $400, with prices typically ranging from $175 to $1,500. The final cost is influenced by several factors, including:

  • Number of Panes: Single-pane repairs average around $200, double-pane repairs range from $200 to $400, and triple-pane repairs can cost $600 to $1,100.

  • Type of Repair: Minor fixes for a track, seal, or sash are more affordable than repairs for broken glass or window frames, which are typically the most expensive.

  • Window Details: The size, type, and material of the window affect the price.

  • Accessibility: Windows on upper floors or in hard-to-reach locations may increase labor costs.

  • Other Factors: The extent of the damage, local labor rates, and the need for emergency service will also impact the total cost.

For comparison, a full window replacement can range from $175 to $1,800 or more for high-end materials or large windows like bay or bow windows.

While the benefits of garage door screens usually outweigh the downsides, there are some cons to installing one. First off, they can be quite expensive, especially if you’re having a professional install a retracting screen or a custom size screen. Second, they let fresh air and natural light in, but they also don’t provide the same privacy from people in the neighborhood that a solid door does. As you might guess, screens also won’t insulate your garage, so they’re often not usable in colder weather.

Rescreening your porch can take a few hours to a whole day, depending on the size of the enclosure and the amount of screen that needs replacing. If you decide to have a professional handle the rescreening, be sure to get a timeline and a cost estimate so you know how long you’ll be without the screened-in space.

On average, it cost $2,900 to rescreen a patio, porch, or sunroom, with homeowners paying anywhere from $800 to $5,200. The cost to rescreen a porch, patio, or sunroom enclosure depends on the size of the enclosure, the extent of the damage, and the materials used to replace existing screens.
