At Allied Iron, we manufacture top-quality wrought iron Entry Doors, Security Doors, Enclosures and Gates in Phoenix. But we don’t stop there. We also offer industry-leading customer service. Our sales staff is with you from sale to install, with technicians available for any build or install questions, and an on-site designer to help with any design needs.

"The first salesman we had was flaky, but he left Allied Iron. Everyone else has been very knowledgable and professional. I like the fact that you can design the door or gate the way you want, not simply select from a fixed list of models. We were able to see how everything, including the door handle is custom built. I like the fact that we were able to see our door and gate before powder coating. We requested a minor change, which they handled no problem. Installation was quick. The product is not cheap, but considering it is a custom product with high quality, it is worth it."

A/C certified, welding and fabricating done here as well as lift kits installed. Labor rate $100/hr. Electrical diag and check engine diag fees vary. Free Scan of check engine light for Angies list members, ($90 value). We offer rides home within 10miles, and or a ride to Avis for rental cars which offer discounted rates to our customers.

"Today was 3rd time I've used their services over a year (truck 20 yrs old) and EXTREMELY pleased every time! I 1st started using them because they are close to my house but now I won't consider using any other repair shop. Dealing with Dawn, their front service writer, is a pleasure! Last time they gave me a ride home after dropping off AND delivered truck back to me when done because it was raining. Honest and thorough!"

"Ok, update from the last review I left. I have now had 2 gate companies come out and look at our faulty gates from First Impression. The gates installed had "bullet" hinges. Both companies said they had never been greased upon installation. I was never shown how to oil these because they never did it! How am I to know if they don't show me. So, no grease = seized hinges because they didn't grease them in the first place. I have been oiling all the other parts I saw that should be oiled. The pictures below show that they were not greased. The paint covering the space where they are supposed to be greased. The paint has to be broken, and there is a small silver ball under the paint. When you grease them properly, the paint is punctured, and a silver ball is visible. Last pictures show the hinges that had NEVER been greased, not even upon installation. The paint has not been punctured, which should reveal a small silver ball, where they should have been greased. The first 2 pictures show after the paint has been punctured to reveal the silver ball, where the grease should be placed. They are saying this is my fault because I never read a manual! They want to charge me $990 to repair a gate because it has seized hinges due to them never being greased properly due to poor installation! None of my gates were oiled during installation. Thus, never has been oiled! This is my fault?"

Welding questions, answered by experts

The difference between a lintel and a beam is what loads each is responsible for supporting. A lintel is a type of beam that is responsible only for supporting the load above an opening, such as a window or door, and transfers the weight to the side walls around an opening. A beam supports the slab and transfers the load to nearby columns, which then disperse the load to the ground.

Costs depend on material type, labor, design complexity, finishing requirements, and installation needs.

Steel I-beams are an increasingly popular choice for supporting a structure because they support a large amount of weight with a small profile and without the need for load-bearing walls or supports underneath. This allows for more open floor plans, which most people tend to prefer. They also resist fire, pests, and rot and last for the lifetime of your home.

Beams made out of traditional lumber can often only span 8 to 12 feet without requiring vertical supports, so if you want a wider opening to create a more open floor plan, you might need an LVL beam. LVL beams can span up to around 30 feet without the need for load-bearing walls or vertical supports underneath, making them a better option for keeping your home as open and airy as possible.

Lally columns are named after their founder, John Lally, who owned a construction company in the 1800s. He invented the columns as a means of providing temporary support for beams and rafters in homes his company was renovating. The original Lally columns were also made of steel, although the inventory used a thicker gauge metal, which provided additional support for larger projects and long-term structural solutions.
