"It was a great experience. We had to make sure and prepare for the right amount of time for the project to be done but Jerry and his team were incredible. The work was top notch and Jerry’s OCD made sure my TVs were hung to perfection as well as all of our wall speakers and in door golf simulator. Jerry also helped us source great deals for the equipment which really helped and his rates were very fair! We did not want to go too cheap on work like this in our home and Jerry kept his word. We are going to fly him down for our Scottsdale house next! THANKS JERRY and friendly audio for finishing my dream home!"

It was September 1988, and Allen McCracken decided it was time to leave the magazine distribution business and begin a new venture. But what? It came to them, like most ideas - out of frustration. Allen's wife, Pat, mentioned she had not been able to find a good detail shop when she had their cars detailed a few times a year. And that was that. Allen knocked on the door of his tenant, whom he knew needed a job. "You're goin' to work today," Allen announced. "Ok, doin' what?" the tenant replied. "Detailing cars in exchange for rent," Allen informed. Pat decided she would inspect all the vehicles to make sure the work met her standards. In turn, they named the business "Inspecor #9", after the popular men's underwear commercials running at the time referring to inspector #12 who wouldn't put her stamp on the underwear unless it passed all her quality tests. After a few years of building a successful detail business, a funny thing happened. Not one, but two different business owners, on the same day, approached Allen about buying their businesses - one a window tinting business, the other an auto glass company. He bought them both and incorporated them under the Inspector #9 name. Before long, customers came to Allen for everything related to their vehicle's appearance. They even began to ask about car and truck accessories like step bars and seat covers. To honor his customers' requests, he began carrying all kinds of aftermarket accessories. It's been over 21 years, and Inspector #9 has now become Inspector's Auto Appearance. Allen is proud to have soo many people over the years become lifetime customers. "It's rewarding when customers come in and try to recollect how many cars we've tinted for them or how many windshields we've replaced or repaired, and now, they're sending their kids to us! Thank you, Flagstaff." - Allen & Pat McCracken

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

Hurricane Film questions, answered by experts

Generally, your homeowner’s insurance might only cover ceiling collapses caused by problems under the coverage, such as a busted pipe. But if the ceiling collapse resulted from owner negligence, maintenance issues, or other reasons excluded by your policy, you could be on your own. Some policies might cover damages caused by the collapse but not the repair itself. Check with your policy carrier for the most accurate information regarding ceiling collapse coverage.

In general, hailstones need to be at least one inch in diameter to cause damage to a roof. Smaller hailstones can also cause damage, but usually only if accompanied by strong winds or striking aging roofs in poor condition. Obviously, the larger the hail, the more potential for damage.

Windows may need to be replaced after a hurricane if they’re severely damaged. For example, if you have windows with blown-out glass and a cracked frame, they will need to be replaced. It’s a similar story if you have windows with noticeable water damage. However, if your window pane has small cracks but the frame is still in good condition, you may be able to repair the window.

Use plywood that is at least a half-inch thick to protect your windows during hurricane season. You can opt for 5/8-inch or 3/4-inch plywood for greater protection if you’re concerned about blown debris or have trees right outside your windows. Thinner plywood is more affordable, but it won’t protect your windows as well.

Standard homeowners' insurance does not cover the cost of flooded basement cleanup caused by natural flooding. However, it may cover water damage from burst pipes or appliance failures. Flood insurance policies may be required to cover natural flood events. Review your policy or speak with your insurance agent to understand your coverage and any exclusions.
