Small jobs welcome

"Job was done right and customer service was good. Only thing that I didn?t like was that I am still cleaning my kitchen from all of the dust that settled on every in my kitchen and other areas of my house. I?m still cleaning up dust from the widening of the cut-out space for my oven. Need to find a way to do the cut out without so much dust everywhere! Other than that, Mr. Egbert did a great job installing the cooktop and vent hood."

Window Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The simplest way to clean stained glass windows is by using warm distilled water and a damp cloth. Distilled water won’t corrode the stained glass or leave residue behind. Avoid using cleaners with alcohol or ammonia. However, you should only clean when necessary. Stained glass windows are fragile, and excessive cleaning could cause fading, weakening of the solder, or other damage.

Access to professional tools ensures streak-free finishes and safety in hard-to-reach areas.

Yes, in most cases, you can add a few drops of Dawn to a spray bottle full of vinegar to remove hard water stains. This solution can be used on your dishes, or you can use it in your shower, bathtub, or sink to get rid of hard minerals. Simply combine the ingredients, shake them up, then spray the solution onto limescale-ridden surfaces. Wait around an hour and then scrub the surface down.

You should avoid using abrasive materials and harsh chemicals when cleaning windows. Abrasive tools like scrubbing pads, rough cloths, or steel wool can permanently scratch and damage the glass. Harsh chemical cleaners containing alcohol or ammonia can damage window treatments, frame materials, and special features like tinting. It is also best to use distilled or filtered water instead of hard water, which can leave spots or streaks. For best results, use a clean microfiber cloth to wash the glass and old black and white newspapers to dry it without leaving streaks.

To ensure the longevity and smooth functioning of new windows, regular maintenance is essential. This includes cleaning the glass and frames, inspecting seals for leaks or damage, and reapplying caulking as needed. It is also important to lubricate all moving parts and operating mechanisms to ensure they continue to operate smoothly.
