"The installers were great. The salesperson made promises that he did not keep and he missed a window. When the person came to measure he also didn’t catch that I was having all my windows done except one. The windows look great. The response when I notified the co that one window was missed was very fast but added to my cost."
"I'm a very happy customer. Crew was on time every day. Clean-up was done daily. Everyone from sales personal, office & customer service personal and crew were very knowledgeable and helpful answering all my question. Everyone was very pleasant. The job was completed on time. Within a short time, we notice the humidity level was so much better. Are windows, doors and floor were not sticking or jamming or warping any longer. We have had rain and no leaks in basement. I am a very satisfied customer."
"Alex was very professional and my project arrived on time! I couldnâ  t be happier with the way it turned out, and I would highly recommend AJS Woodworks for all your custom pieces. His attention to detail and beautiful accents make his pieces stand out above all. I am very impressed!"
"Tom was very eager to help and to make the job the best he could for the amount of money I had to work with. Overall they do a pretty good job. Scheduling delays occurred with both roof and gutter crews due to a busy storm season. While understandable, the delays could have been communicated better and cleanup a little more thorough once the job was completed. I think a ‘B’ is a pretty fair rating, the work didn’t blow my mind but was satisfactory and should last for years to come."
"Anthony Tatro installed laminate counter tops, a dishwasher, a sink, remade and refinished kitchen cabinets and hung light fixtures; all at a reasonable price. He did an awesome job in a very timely manner. I would recommend him highly for his professionalism, excellent skills and efficiency. Rest assured that I think other clients will be just as happy as I am with his work."
"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."
"They were great! The windows are looking and working really good. The representatives were punctual and professional. Everything went in a very professional manner. I would have them out to do the work again tomorrow! My wife really loves the windows!"
Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts
Rescreening your porch can take a few hours to a whole day, depending on the size of the enclosure and the amount of screen that needs replacing. If you decide to have a professional handle the rescreening, be sure to get a timeline and a cost estimate so you know how long you’ll be without the screened-in space.
Most solar screens last 10 to 15 years, depending on the material quality, exposure to weather, and the level of maintenance. High-quality materials and regular cleaning can extend their lifespan, while harsh climates or neglect may shorten it. Routine cleaning, inspecting for damage, and avoiding harsh cleaners can help extend the lifespan of your screens.
The screen on many screen doors is held in place by screen spline. Screen spline is typically a thin vinyl tubing that fits into the groove of the door’s frame and holds the screen in place. To install the spline on a screen door, you’ll need a spline roller—a tool that presses the spline and screen into the door’s narrow groove. Note that old spline can crack and break, so replacing your screens is a good time to replace the spline, too.
Egress windows require regular maintenance to ensure they function correctly. This includes cleaning the glass, inspecting the frame and well for debris, and making sure the cover or well drains properly. It is also important to check that the window sills and wells are watertight and to inspect and repair any damage to the window frame or seals to prevent leaks and maintain functionality.
Common problems include leaks, broken glass, and damaged frames. Regular maintenance prevents extensive damage.
