Replacing faucets isn’t the easiest task, but with the tools and technical know-how, you can complete this project in an hour or two. If you don’t have any experience installing faucets, you’ll want to hire a plumber to do the work. The average service call cost of a plumber is $333, but it can also give you the opportunity to learn how to install one for future reference.

Food grease, soap buildup, paper products, and tree roots often cause serious clogs.

You can tell if a pipe is leaking behind your wall if you see bubbling, warping, water stains, mildew, or mold on the ceiling, flooring, or walls. Musty smells can also indicate a leaky pipe. Finding a leaky pipe in a wall can be challenging, so work with a pro to pinpoint the leak’s exact location.

For a long time, copper was our only plumbing material option. Thankfully, that is no longer the case. Copper pipes have been used since the 1940s and became most popular around 1963. It wasn’t until the 1990s that PVC pipes became popular and began to replace copper pipes. Therefore, a house built before the 1990s without recent updates will likely contain more copper pipes.

Vinegar is better for an AC drain line because it’s less corrosive and won’t damage the pipes. It’s also a safer and easier product to use. Bleach should not be used on your AC drain line because it can corrode your pipes and harm the evaporator coil in your air conditioner.
