"I do not recommend Bath Planet. The cost is exorbitant for such a pretty product made with poor quality materials and shoddy installation. There is too much give in the flimsy walls and pan. After only a month, I had to have someone come in and recaulk. It took a LOT of caulk for the big gaps. Yes, there was mold. Then, two years later, yet another issue. We noticed a squishing sound in the hall, then water started coming up between the floorboards. It took a plumber two trips (and a week of using no water in that end of the house - no dishwasher, kitchen sink, laundry, or bathroom) so the floors could dry and he could find the source of the water. Turns out, the shower drain was not properly installed, or perhaps it had worked itself loose with the flimsy bendable pan. Water was draining between the concrete slab and our pvc laminate flooring. Yes, I am upset. I am so sorry I allowed Bath Planet anywhere near my house."

Surprisingly, cleaning an air bath is almost as easy as relaxing in one. Most air baths have a self-cleaning or drying cycle to remove moisture from the inner tubing. This prevents mold and keeps the tub ready for your next soaking session. If your bathtub is in overall good shape with minor scratches, discoloration, or just general wear and tear, it's best (and less expensive) to refinish it. 

If your tub has large cracks, is leaking, or is otherwise severely damaged, we recommend replacing it with a new bathtub. Refinishing a bathtub can only fix superficial problems, so these issues will still be present or reappear after a refinishing.

While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. While fiberglass and acrylic tubs are also relatively simple to maintain, they often have seams, making maintenance a little more difficult.
