Customers say: Quick response

"For starters, was the first of only 2 to answer my request. A big problem in this area is that so many who advertise their services (of any kind) do not answer your inquiries. Arkansas Tree Service promptly came, as promised, to give me a quote and then to do the job. They did exactly what they said they would do and when they said they would do it, cutting down and hauling away 2 large pines. Cleanup was done well also. I highly recommend them."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.

Signs include dead branches, growth over structures, diseases, pests, or roots impacting hardscapes.

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.

A pro can guide you on the alternatives to tree topping depending on the specific issues within your trees. For example, if you’re dealing with breakage and cracks in your tree, they may suggest canopy reduction, which removes less than 25% of the tree’s limbs. If you’re dealing with lesser damage, some intentional pruning may be all you need. If you’re looking to get a clearer view through your tree, the pro may also try windowing or skirting your tree.

If tree branches cross well into your property line, in many cases, these branches become part of your property, and you can trim them up until your neighbor’s property line. However, this issue will vary based on local ordinances, so you should do your research before making any decisions. Better yet, speak with your neighbor about how to handle any tree issues.

If you don’t mind the branches, you can leave them be, but if they’re becoming a hazard, it’s definitely worth having a conversation.
